Rest. Puerto Blanquillo Frigiliana — Restaurant in Frigiliana

What a shame… me and my partner had eaten here a week or two before and had a wonderful experience (good food, great service and lovely atmosphere), however, this time around was a completely different experience…

My partner had ordered a Caesar salad yet the salad was most definitely not a Caesar salad and when we addressed this with the waiter and the owner, instead of replacing it or offering alternatives, we were met with an aggressive response/attitude and told that it was her version of a Caesar salad (vinaigrette instead of Caesar dressing, two small pieces of chicken, no bacon, sweetcorn and cubes of salad cheese instead of Parmesan). All she offered us to fix the situation was to add more chicken, to which we said not to bother, at which point she grabbed the salad in such a way, as to make us feel uncomfortable and bad for telling them (in a really polite way) that we were not happy with the food… she returned with the salad where she’d added a load of cold chicken pieces that must have been from a ready-made pack that she’d just cut up quickly and not prepared properly, like a proper Ceaser salad.

This was completely unacceptable and not one more mouthful of the meal was eaten by my partner, yet they still charged us for the salad. Maybe they thought we were tourists but as we are locals living in Frigiliana, we will NOT be returning!

This whole episode could have been avoided if it had been handled completely differently, but unfortunately it wasn’t, and therefore they have lost what would have been...

OMG!.. The food in this restaurant is fantastic and the service from Eloy and his wife, who is the chef was first class. We ordered beef fillet and sirloin steak. We were all very particular how we wanted our steak cooked. When Eloy presented us with our meals he made sure we were all happy with how they had been cooked and they were perfect. The next time we had a lazy lunch with a few dishes and drinks. I ordered a gin and tonic. Eloy served the gin at our table... He asked me to say stop as he was pouring the gin 😳😁. It definitely was a great lunch, great food and great views from the outdoor terrace. The restaurant is not in the centre of the village but do make the effort to stop by and I'm sure you will have fantastic food and drink served and cooked by a great husband...

We came across this restaurant whilst exploring Frigiliana and decided to try it. Whilst not in the village centre the location is amazing with panoramic views towards Nerja and the sea. The proprietors were so friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent, perfectly cooked local produce and with very generous portion sizes. Lovely little touches like bringing olives and crisps at the start and a liquor at the end of the meal also made our dining experience very special. Great care was given to ensure the huge fillet steak we ordered was cooked exactly as we wanted it and it was amazing, especially with the caramelised onion rings saved from the starter course. Overall, it was a lovely, memorable evening out and we will definitely return before...
