Sukiyaki — Restaurant in Fuengirola

We're here visiting for 4 days and we've already gone twice, once for dinner and one for lunch (and will probably go again) the price is excellent for all you can eat. It's not just sushi, but a wide variety of meat, shellfish, noodles, rice, etc. You can also have one dessert included. I've been to buffets before where it's obvious that they cut corners and quality of the food. Here, that is not the case. We didn't have high hopes for the meat but the steak was great quality and cooked perfectly. Being that it's right on the beach there are many people coming and going (all properly distanced) but they work like a well oiled machine. There is a large staff that is constantly making sure that you have what you need and clearing your plate so you always have space for more. The ordering process is amazing. They give you an iPad with a very easy system that anyone can use (press the picture and click send) each person can order up to five plates at a time and eat until you can't anymore. The waitresses are AMAZING. On top of everything and always with a smile and GREAT attitude, which can sometimes be hard to find in an overwhelming touristy area. I didn't get to take a picture of everything (we ate more than I will ever admit to 🤣) but everything was excellent. 100% recommend 😄 ps there's also options for people / kids who are picky eaters..french fries, nuggets, mozzarella sticks, salads etc. Great...

I love sushi, so tried this restaurant, because the price seemed reasonable. What I really loved is that they give you a tablet and you order what you want from the list. I got used to this system in New York and Japan and it is really good, because what you see on the picture is exactly, what you get. You can eat as much as you can - the only limit is that you can order five items at once and after placing order for 5 pcs. you have to wait 10 min. before placing the next. First dishes were brought in 3 min. after I sent the order, so kitchen works fast. The food is good and fish is fresh-I ordered mostly tuna and sweet shrimps sushi, crispy duck etc. everything was good but the lamb cutlet- on the picture it looks like grilled, crispy and big, but in reality it was “wet” and not crispy at all - probably grilled in too low temperature. I love my lamb crispy outside and pink from inside. That was the only disappointment.

One wears thing is that you can order only one dessert included in free menu - there are 3-5 free desserts and you can order all of them, but only once - after that you have to pay. The other, was quantity of liches in the dessert cup - during my first visit the cup was almost full, but three days later there was less then a half!

Anyway - I loved that place and recommend it to any...

Unfortunately, our experience at SushiE was extremely disappointing. From the very beginning, the service was unacceptable. As soon as we entered, one of the waitresses literally rushed at us in an aggressive manner. She raised her voice and behaved in a way that made us feel very uncomfortable. When I politely tried to calm her down and asked her to treat us more respectfully, she continued to shout. To my shock, she even grabbed me by the arm, which is absolutely inappropriate and unacceptable behavior for any staff member. Guests should never be touched, especially in such a manner.

Nothing seemed to help, so I had no choice but to step aside and request that the manager assign us a different waitress. Although they did change the server, by that time the experience had already been ruined.

When the food started arriving, things didn’t improve. The dishes tasted far from fresh, the portions felt stingy, and overall the quality did not match the prices being charged. It gave the impression that the restaurant is cutting corners at the expense of its customers, which is very disappointing, especially when you expect to enjoy a nice evening out and are paying a fair amount of money.

In the end, both the service and the food left us with a very negative impression. We will definitely not be returning...
