Sky Bar Hotel El Puerto — Restaurant in Fuengirola

We came upstares and went on sunbeds because there was space. After 15min my brother went to the barcounter to ask for drinks he said just wait where you are we will serve there. Nobody came and after 25 minutes I tried to wink for the waiter he looked and turned around. Then we changed places to more sun because there was space. And after 40minutes of waiting for the service I went to the counter and asked if they even sell anything and why I can’t buy there the drinks? He thank you god took the order and came with our drinks. After he brought them he asked are we clients of the hotel, I did not understand to lie so I said no he told me we need to change to the tables to sit and he can take the drinks there that we can not even drink them there after waiting for 50minutes. Then we changed to the low chairs and he came back and told us that we can not sit there with our swimsuits only because the chairs will be destroyed and I had a towel under my body. I said my clothes are smaller then the towel that this does not make sense and after that the reason was that maybe others also will do the same without towel. After that we decided that let’s drink these and leave and in the table next to us was a group of youngsters whom where only with there swimsuits but maybe if the higher chairs will not be Beatrice’s🤷‍♀️ this is not the first time the service is slower then ANYTHING there is no service so defenetly my last visit here and I can not...

The Pool and layout itself is lovely but service is incredibly slow, we have been here for 3 hours, its took at least an hour to flag someone down to order a drink (you can't order at bar) as there is no real system for which they take drink orders. Then when we ordered food (nachos) that took incredibly long, which originally I thought fair enough you've got to cook it. Waited patiently as I watched it sit on the bar for 10 minutes, then when it arrived it wasn't even what was specified on menu. No cheese on them and prepackaged sauce (for €10) so no idea what took it so long, is a shame as we had originally planned to have a couple of pool days and come back later for food but we have changed our mind. Could hear people sat around us having the same complaints.

However staff are lovely amd friendly, don't blame them but do think a better system needs to be worked out or more staff put on as one poor girl was by herself for the first couple of hours and was stretched thin. Cudos to her though.

We were very interested in staying at this hotel after visiting the sky bar last week. However, I have mobility and health issues and we were passing today when I became unwell and felt dizzy. We decided to head back to our hotel so my husband nipped into reception to ask them to call us a taxi whilst I sat outside. They asked room number and he explained that we weren’t residents but I had taken unwell. The receptionist then rudely told my husband that I had walked to the hotel so I could walk a bit further to the taxi rank! I don’t think it was much for him to take a minute out of his day to call us a taxi. We then did go to the taxi rank, and after waiting 40min in the midday sun baring in mind I struggle to stand and there was no seats, a shopkeeper had noticed and came out to check as he said I didn’t look to good. He kindly called the taxi number to send us a taxi to the rank and showed some kindness that the receptionist was clearly lacking.
