Donburi 丼 — Restaurant in Gijón

The place is in a central area so easily reachable. The service is excellent, we were served by a very cute girl who was extremely nice and attentive (give that woman a raise!) We’ve ordered the duck gyoza which was pretty nice, I liked that it was a bit crunchy which is unusual from a gyoza. However, it’s way overpriced for what it is. And then the ramen was very underwhelming, it had no taste, both the broth and the ingredients lack salt, it resembled no ramen of any sort. It was more like some ingredients mixed with water. Again, quite overpriced for what you get. I also didn’t like the design of the place, it looks a bit cheap and I feel no connection between the cuisine and the place itself. This is however a personal preference. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend if you’d like to eat proper Asian food as this is not it. They seriously need to improve their recipe and they would like to be successful in...

We travel around a bit, really like ramen and thus have tried many ramen joints around various European countries. What a delight to find that a medium-sized provincial city in Asturias has such an authentic ramen shop! Service was delightful and friendly. The young people running the place were very amenable and helpful, especially as our Spanish is fairly basic, and obviously know their Japanese culture/cuisine. Food was flavoursome, tailored to our individual taste (spicy!), authentic and the noodles/stock were obviously prepared in situ. Atmosphere was spot-on for a small, independent business. Considering that we have probably eaten at every single independent ramen restaurant in London, and at least 50+ other places across various European cities, Donburi is up there with the best that Europe...

En primer lugar y más importante, destacar para bien la atención por parte de los camareros. Estuvieron dispuestos y al pie del cañón durante todo el servicio. En cuanto a la calidad de la comida: pedimos gyozas de pato que estaban buenas, algo más crujientes de lo que estamos acostumbrados pero bien, nada malo que decir. De segundo pedimos Ramen. Nos pareció malísimo, el caldo cero sabor y además con un montón de grasa que hacía que beberlo fuera imposible. Los fideos eran tallarines normales, el chasu gordisimo grasiento y sin sabor y luego las verduras que no venían al caso: brocoli al vapor y tomates cherry a la plancha. La verdad, es que me parece una tomadura de pelo llamarle 'Ramen bar' a algo así. EDITO PARA CONTESTAR A LA RESPUESTA DEL PROPIETARIO.

En ningún momento nos preguntastéis si nos había gustado el ramen, aun viendo que los cuencos se quedaron por la mitad, por lo que supusimos que erais camareros y no propietarios. No tendría ningún problema de lo contrario en deciros todo esto en aquel momento. He comido montones de ramen diferentes y cuando las novedades me aportan sensaciones y sabores agradablas estoy siempre abierta a ellas. Este no me parece el caso. Sé que el cerdo tiene grasa, lo que no significa que no se deba quitar el exceso de esa grasa del caldo antes de servírselo al cliente. El huevo estaba totalmente pasado de punto de cocción, por lo tanto la yema estaba cuajada, cosa que como sabréis no es característica de un ramen. Si no considerais esto como una 'opinión sólida', como decís en la respuesta a mi acompañante, solo puedo decir que no hay mas ciego que el que no quiere ver. No considero que mi reseña busque en ningún momento desprestigiar a nadie, más bien deberiais tomárosla como una oportunidad de mejorar. También creo que un cliente potencial que ve un ramen bar en google con una nota de 4'8 se merece saber lo que se va a encontrar oyendo todos los puntos de vista. Sin embargo, si para vosotros vuestro ramen está OK a mí me vale...
