Excellent pizza. Good size, good topping portion and very tasty. It is the first pizza I have had where they ignite it ! Atmosphere not bad but you don't go to a pizza place for atmosphere. Service not too bad but our waiter wasn't the smartest cookie. When asked if there was WiFi, he just said "yes" and we had to then ask him what it was. He also forgot a 2nd beer at a time when there were very few people there, so no excuse really. Still, as a place for very good pizza, this is highly recommended. Patatas Bravas was good but 5 Euros was expensive considering the small portion. Spicy meat pizza - €12.50 3 pizzas, 1 patatas bravas, 1 (small draft) beer, 2 soft drinks €48 EDIT: reply below by "owner" indicates a disregard for the customer experience. The waiter forgot the beer but presented the bill with it still on. When we pointed this out, he snatched it from my wife's hand and got another one.
With the WiFi... after we had to ask what the WiFi was, he leant over and without really asking, started typing away on my wife's phone. Finished, walked away, got it wrong and had to do it again. There was no "excuse me"..."may I.."...
The waiters are part of the business. As customers writing reviews, we are asked to review food, service and atmosphere and if the waiters are not client service orientated or the owner doesn't care about them being customer oriented then we deserve to point that out and the rating deserves a drop. It was 4 but is now 2 as you have added to the poor customer service. Speak to your staff and tell them to be more focused. If a client asks if there is WiFi, don't just say "yes" and then wait for customer to follow up with "what is it then?" For your next training session, The correct answer would have been: "yes we do. It is....and the password is...." or, "yes we do, shall I type in the password for you ?"..... There, some free training tips for you. Take all stars off for me as a customer. I don't care. It's your review that...
Read more⭐ Bartali Pizza is a masterclass how a modern pizza place should be run, because they excel at every possible level.
⭐ Staff - absolutely a lovely team of people who will take care of you at every step of your visit. Most if not all of them speak fluent English, they will explain the rules of 90 min per table, advise on the meals and ingredients, and will keep clearing your table from "finished items".
⭐ Menu - if the website is true, they might have physical menus available in 5 most popular languages from the area: Spanish, Catalan, English, French, Italian. It's modern, extremely easy to read, the range of pizzas and meals is appropriate.
⭐ Pizza - even though I wouldn't consider it the "true Neapolitan style" (not your black bubbles type), the dough reminds me a delicious type of bread, so good I was hunting for the crust of my wife's. Both of us were extremely satisfied with the quality and we're pro pizza eaters!
⭐ Desserts - I tried both tiramisu and affogato. Affogato was pretty basic, nothing mind blowing - just as it should be. But the tiramisu was not only delicious but also very generous - you can share a portion between two people and you'll both be satisfied. It also has so little alcohol it's barely noticable - just how I prefer it.
⭐ Opening times - over 3 days we were there 2 times, thanks to their schedule - all other places were either closed on Monday or opened too late for us on Wednesday. We were happy to revisit the place anyway.
If you got this far, you know we loved the place. Stunningly delicious pizza in a lovely atmosphere created by the place and staff alike. In 2025, on each visit we paid less than €40 (before tip, remember to tip this staff!) for: 2 pizzas, 1 drink, 1 dessert.
🔥 The flaming Diavola pizza is mostly a gimmick, but if the composition suits you - try it out, it's a nice...
Read moreBartali Pizza has the title of "Best Pizza place in Europe" and boy how it did not disappoint.
I reserved a spot at 10:15 pm, 2 days prior, showing that it is very difficult to obtain a reservation. This is not a critique to Bartali, but a highlight of their success.
The order consisted of a Diavola and a Tartufata with 2 waters and a Tiramisu.
Both Pizzas consisted of a very thin dough, and eventhough I am more of a medium-ish thickness dough, this allowed for a more intense flavour.
The Diavola was spicy to perfection for all my spice lovers, and the Tartufata spark an explosion of tastes with the Parmigiano.
Also, the Diavola was lit on fire for the presentation which I thought was very unique, and definitely the first time I see such a display in a Pizza place.
The Staff was also very friendly and happy, which showed the positive work environment.
I do not know if it was the Owner or one of the workers, but they asked us to change our seats mid-dinner, but rewarded us with a free Tiramisu, which trully shows the kind-heartedness of the place.
The Tiramisu was everything a Tiramisu should be: The delicate "squishy" flavour of the layers of Italian custard and mascarpone, contrasted by the dark presence of Espresso and the slight sharpness of Cocoa powder.
So the million dollar question: Is it the best pizza in Europe? Hand on heart I can say that it is up there with the best Pizzas I have ever had. If you are a Pizza lover then this place is a definite "go out and get it now" type of dish.
