What can I say, best pizza in possibly 100 KM radius and possibly all of Spain! Seriously good. Proper dough making a thin centre and plump full but very springy crust, in places almost 1 inch thick.
All the ingredients are upper fresh and there are plenty of options. My advice is to keep things simple Diavola if you like spicy meat and the classic Margarita with the light tomato sauce you can’t go wrong.
There are some fancy options with aubergine, courgette and a amazing yellow tomato sauce / salsa that didn’t disappoint. The main issue we had is that we didn’t order enough... not because they are too small because they were soooooo good we wanted left overs. If you’re 2 adults order 3, if you’re 4 order 6. Everyone needs a half a pizza in the morning... do yourself a favour, buy this pizza. We...
Read moreBest pizza I’ve had in years! I love neopolitan style pizza, thin interior with a soft and pillowy crust. This seasonal pizza was incredible unique, with yellow cherry tomato sauce, mozzarella, julienne fried zucchini, fried eggplant, red pepper cream. The restaurant is a slow food restaurant, which means it is certified by the slow food movement as focused on sourcing healthy ingredients locally. So wonderful to enjoy pizza in Catalonia while still supporting local businesses! We also had the potato croquettas (delicious- like fried mashed potato), and tiramisu for dessert (traditional, but plated really beautifully). Service was wonderful also, our servers were friendly, spoke English (and had English menus) and everything came out quickly. Highly recommend if...
Read moreWe ordered several pizzas from this place for dinner, on March 5. We had high expectations and we were so disappointed. The dough was way too chewy and had a very unpleasant tough texture overall, the ingredients were almost non existent and some missing altogether, two of our pizzas were completely burned from the bottom and all of them partially from the top, the size of each was considerably different and small, and most importantly all we could taste was salt. To finish off, the tiramisu was one of the worst we've ever had. For the prices you pay at this place it is a total scam, and even a store bought frozen pizza would be better. Unfortunately places like Marghe 1889 cultivate ignorance about what a good...
