Bar Casa Julio — Restaurant in Granada

We went to this place due to a suggestion from the web. Unfortunately we didn't wholely enjoy our experience here.

The waiter seemed arrogant or at least in a bad mood. We got served food we didn't order and were made to pay for it. Other food we had originally ordered we needed to order again, since apparently the waiter had forgotten about it.

The shrimp pancakes and fried squid were alright. The crocettas (which we hadn't ordered but had to pay in the end) lacked texture and the fried aubergines were soggy and rather tasteless.

On a positive note, we also got one plate of tapas for free. Also, this place is in a small side alley and while all proper restaurants in the area were full we managed to get a place at a standing table here.

To be fair, we didn't complain about the corcettas being served and waited a while before ordering the dish we actually wanted, since we aren't fluent in Spanish and took the crocettas for free tapas in the beginning.

Considering the location, I guess prices are okay, but we were disappointed at what we got for it....

Service was bad.long time waiting while others coming later had been served already!!! Croquetas for 14€ was expensive for what you get! Two options for vegetarians(croquetas and eggplant!)we ordered two hamburgers for my sons among other things which were raw!!we only realised when one had finished this burger already,the other only had a few bites and then we saw it was still raw inside!!!my other son puked his guts out in the evening (it was 100% the burger ,he didn’t eat anything else!!)when we complained when the waiter came,there was no apology,just a „you could have said something,then we could have put it back on the grill!!!“wrong answer!!!!we ordered a burger and expect to get decent...

Unfortunately, the restaurant did not leave a good impression on me. It is unacceptable for the waiter to bring three glasses, pour wine for two of the guests, let one lady pour herself wine and drop the cork from the bottle on the table. It is unacceptable for the staff of a moderately respectable establishment not to consult customers about the food, not to offer possible options for choice. It is unacceptable for the waiter to interrupt the conversation with customers from the table he is serving to talk and shout at those leaving the establishment.
