My best dinner during this post Easter break, even though it's not finished I know I won't be able to get anything better.
By the time we've been shown our seats, I thought this place would have charged us a lot to eat stereotyped food. Luckily I was wrong.
Food was divine, well cooked with a nice taste. The meat was tender, the deep fried calamari were fresh.
My initial criticism to have been served my calamari separately went away when the tortilla and the meat arrived.
While waiting for the first course to come, we've been served a free starter with some tasty local products too.
Because everything was pretty much perfect, we ended up taking two desserts too. A fried milk cake and an ice cream with olive oil. I wasn't expecting such a combination to be good, but it was a good marry.
The best part of the dinner was the price. Terribly cheap considering the service and the quality. Highly...
Read moreThis is a must go place. I went twice whilst staying in Albacin. The staff were so friendly and patient with my pedestrian Spanish. As per tradition you get a small dish when you order a drink, I ordered a wine and the first accompaniment was half a jacket potato with aioli... On a cold day this was like a welcome hug. When I went in the week it definitely felt more local with lots of regulars (in a good way) but the bustle on the Friday didn't detract from the service or friendliness. The patatas albondigas and the tartan de queso were particular favourites. If I had cash I would have tipped but there wasn't the option on card so all I can do is encourage others to go even if you're stopping by for a drink before a meal elsewhere. (But you might as well just stay and eat here!) The food looks humble but is full of flavour 😊. The menu is by qr code, I didn't realise this...
Read moreThe food was ok, but I don’t recommend eating here unless you are a local. We arrived around 8pm and were told there weren’t any tables. I told a waiter we would like to wait. We watched as they sat three parties (who arrived significantly after we did) before us because they were able to sweet talk the waiters into setting up more tables or into seating them more quickly. My Spanish is conversational but my partner speaks minimal Spanish and they completely ignored him when he attempted to order anything and barely spoke to me. We have been traveling in Spain for 14 days and this was by far the worst service. I would’ve given this place 1 star except the food was fine. There are many good places in Granada for food, I recommend eating at one that...
