In short: 5/5.
Good sides: Super professional service. They answer questions on the dishes, can advise on the wine. They are quick, they are friendly and positive. Big plus. Interior: nice, well designed, large tables, comfy seating, a lot of room between tables gives you privacy from other guests Finally food: i loved it. Dishes are twists of local andalusian or spanish cuisine, all made with local ingredients. Done very smart. Chef is a genius. To mention few dishes which really stood out: pastela moruna in a “plastic” (edible) bag with lovely moroccan touch - great! Brioche with caviar and cured estrurion - i am gonna try to recreate it at home! Soup with “jamon” fennel and peas but without actual jamon (only taste of it). Leek in beurre blanc - just perfect.
I wanna give a balanced review so i am gonna mention slight downsides too (please notice they did not impact overall GREAT experience): our reservation was for 8pm. We showed up 8:03, and 2 other couples were already waiting. the place was dark, locked. It was really cold and unpleasant outside. We had to wait. If they take first booking for 8pm, in my opinion they should open the place 7:50pm and be ready to let guests inside. If they open slightly after 8, they should NEVER take bookings for 8 o’clock. Food: tubot/rodaballo was really ordinary. Nothing special. I can really do it better at home.
As i stated: wanted to give balanced review but despite few really small issues this please is still HIGHLY recommended and is 5/5.

Read moreI booked Farala for our 10th wedding anniversary, I wanted something a little special and Farala did not disappoint. We had the Magic of Albayzin tasting menu with the wine pairing option (10 passes). We were early arriving as we had attended the Flamenco show downstairs, this was spectacular and highly recommended before dinner. This gave us the opportunity to relax in the wine bar before dinner. The staff in the wine bar were very knowledgeable about the wines and when we were ready ushered us smoothly to the restaurant. The restaurant has a lovely relaxed ambiance and from the moment we walked in the staff were attentive and polite. We were attended to by the same two staff members all evening their attention to detail was lovely to see and made for a special evening. For example both plates of food were placed on the table at exactly the same time. The dishes themselves were works of art and joyful to see. A brief but concise description of each dish was given and advice as to how to eat them and in which order, pure theatre. Additionally the wine pairings were briefly introduced and the measures were very reasonable. During the meal the staff were very discreet and we did not feel at all rushed. In all I think we were seated for close to 2.5 hours and left feeling incredibly relaxed and that we had a most wonderful experience. Date of visit...
Read moreA bit overdue, but I finally want to share our wonderful experience at FARALÁ RESTAURANTE in Granada, Spain. Visiting from NYC, we were on the hunt for Michelin-starred gems throughout Spain, and although FARALÁ doesn’t hold a star (yet), it’s certainly deserving of one and was mentioned in the Michelin Guide.
From start to finish, our meal was a delightful journey through inventive and creative dishes that showcased the best of Granada’s locally sourced ingredients. Each course was a testament to the chef’s talent and vision, transforming familiar flavors into something extraordinary.
Our only regret? Opting for the 10-course tasting menu instead of the 15-course option. Each bite was so exquisite that we found ourselves wishing we could experience even more of the culinary magic.
In my experience with Michelin-starred restaurants in NYC, FARALÁ stands out as a breath of fresh air, especially when some high-profile establishments have begun to lean on their past glories. (I’m looking at you, Eleven Madison!)
If you find yourself in Granada, make sure to visit FARALÁ. It’s a culinary experience that shouldn’t be missed—truly one of the highlights...
