GLORIA BENEDETTA Italian food — Restaurant in Granada

Unfortunately I feel obliged to update my review since the place has changed so much and actually it's getting worse and worse... The owners and the food makers changed some time ago and therefore all the food style and quality changed too. The pizza is very dry and has a thick crust and edges, so you mostly eat just white flour. The pastas always look dry and made a long time ago. The desserts... if you love Italian food and that's what you're used to, don't go there. It's a pity they use the old fame that the place used to have when it was run by Nino, helped by Italian girls. In fact most of the clientele changed too and now it's only frequented by Spanish. Italians go to the other, real Italian pizzerias that luckily there's a few in Granada.

All the staff is Italian and the pizzas are always made by Nino, the owner, so that you can be sure of their quality. They also do pasta, sweets and some other things so everyone can find something for himself. You can pick up the food and enjoy it in the nearby Plaza...

Great staff! Super nice to non Spanish speakers.

I ordered a ham and pineapple pizza (don't you dare judge me, I love it :D). The pizza tasted decent but had lesser pieces of pineapple than I expected, which was disappointing. Adding to this, their time to serve was too long. It took them 45 mins to serve a single pizza, which was disappointing. Given their popularity, I hope it was a one time thing.

Their Tiramisu was excellent and a must have! I'd really appreciate a sugar free version of it.

A good place to visit if you are out and about in the area with your friends, looking for a quick pizza...

I’ve lived in granada for 3 years. The owners have changed and there’s a noticeable difference in taste, price, and even how some of the classic pizzas (Diavola specifically) are made. The flavor and ingredients are not good. I used to live next to the pizzeria when it was still the previous owners. I ordered so often they knew me by name!
