We walked past this restaurant a few times and it was always packed and has a good review so we’ve decided to give it a try. It’s such a shame because I would have totally given a 5 star if not for some of the negative points that I’m gonna talk about below.

First off the good things, the croquetas were one of the best we’ve had during our trip so far and we totally recommend ordering them. We also liked the albariño that was recommended by the waiter and the meat for the entrecote was of really great quality as well.

However, as much as I want to say that the service was great, the waiters were simply inattentive. We waited around 20 minutes after being seated to be given a menu, and at least half an hour after we had finished (by the time most people had left) for them to take our dishes away. Secondly, we started dinner relatively early (for Spain) at 8.30pm, but literally half of the options from the seafood menu were unavailable. The worst of all, the tomatoes that were supposed to be in the tomato salad wasn’t available as well and the alternative was the most mediocre tomatoes I’ve ever tasted (feel free to compare the picture of the tomato salad with other reviewers’), most baffling considering that we’re in Andalusia. We were told that the price would be lowered to reflect the quality of the tomatoes but the difference was really only less than €2, may I suggest you to take it off the menu in the future if you run out of the tomatoes that were supposed to be used in the dish, thanks.

The waiter also didn’t ask us how we like our meat cooked and we were served a medium well, almost well done, steak, if that’s up your street, good for you. At least the quality of meat was good enough to make up for it though. We did tell the waiter kindly that the meat was a little overcooked, but he didn’t do anything about it, he simply acknowledged it and walked away.

Update from owner’s reply: Thank you for your reply. Fishes are classified as seafood so I know what I’m talking about. I really don’t see how we were being compensated in anyway, and I strongly suggest you refrain from gaslighting your customers. Do feel free to check your CCTV, if you have one, to see how long it took from when we were seated to being given a menu, and from when we finished our meal to having the plates collected for dessert/coffee. You also refused to comment on the issue on how overcooked the meat was. Just because other people have enjoyed the service that night doesn’t discount the fact that we simply received a poor service from your waiters. I simply wish you all the best should you wish to respond to criticism with...

Overrated restaurant with rude service. We came around 7PM without reservation on which they told us we can wait to be seated which we accepted because we wanted to try their food. After 45 minutes they told us someone didn't come to their reservation and they offered us a table inside which we gladly accepted. Inside there was 3 tables completely empty from 7PM till 9PM (when we finished our dinner) which I believe is creating false hype for this restaurant because in this 2 hour gap I don't believe they were really reserved and they could place guests who were waiting outside where many of them left after waiting for some time. The food was good but nothing special, especially those ratings on google. We ordered 2 starters and 2 main dishes. However, when waiter came to pick up our plates from main course he saw that I left a part of meat on the plate and he asked if I would like to finish it, after I told him there is a hair on the meat and I'm done on which he responded "okay"?! There was zero apologies which I found extremely rude and not appropriate for a restaurant with this rating. After our dinner, we commented how this restaurant got this high reviews and we found out that for each table after they asked for a bill they brought to them a small card with a QR code to rate this restaurant on a google. As expected due to my complaint to which I receive only "ok" as a respond we didn't get this card which means they were completely aware of my complaint and they didn't offer us a something to an apology like dessert or drink. Our conclusion after visit to this restaurant is you should not trust google reviews...

Yuck!  We were served undercooked pork!

My girlfriend and I visited this highly reviewed restaurant in October 2024 around 10PM and decided to eat here based on its high ratings.  It is odd that many of these are from people that only have few reviews.

This is what we ordered followed by our comments:

FLAMENQUÍN (Iberian cured ham 5J wrapped in cheese and pork loin): THE PORK WAS SERVED TO US NOT FULLY  COOKED.  We took our first bite and noticed that parts of the pork was pinkish and appeared a bit raw.  The dish was also not hot.  We asked the restaurant to remove the dish from our bill but they did not acknowledge our request.  They instead reheated the dish and it was served back to us within a few minutes.  They must have microwaved it as it was really dry and unpleasant.

COSTILLAR (Iberian pork ribs with rosemary bourbon sauce): Pretty good.  the pork was soft and tender but the stuffing was bland and tasteless.

CROQUETAS (Jamón ibérico Iberian cured ham):  pretty good.  The inside filling were flavorful while the outsides was crispy.

MANITAS DE CERDO (Pig’s trotters): soft and tender ribs.  Pretty tasty.  The fries were cold though.

ALCACHOFAS (Fried artichoke hearts confit with Iberian bacon and homemade foie micuit): simple starter salad.  Quite small.  Not bad but nothing to rave about.

Final thoughts: Restaurant was pretty romantic.  Overall food was average to above average.  Very lucky we didn't get food posioining! We wish the customer service was better so we can recommend...
