I stopped at this restaurant while walking by because it was advertising Andalusian cuisine and seemed kind of higher-end. Actually the clientele and general environment was super relaxed, which I appreciated, considering I was wearing sunglasses and shorts.
There's outdoor middle-of-the-street seating, but I was seated inside since it was full outside. It was lovely with modern decor and furnishing and air-conditioning.
I immediately ordered a glass of red wine and was surprised to taste how delicious and at the same time strong it was. Pleasant surprise. As is custom in Granada, it came with a very small tapa of a slice of hard cheese, salted almond and olive oil with bread. The cheese and almonds had an amazing nutty quality to them, almonds salted to perfection, and the olive oil was honestly excellent (I say thing having grown up among the best oil-makers in the world in Apulia, Italy).
The menu was quite varied, but not overwhelming, indeed offering most Andalusian staples (Iberian jamon plates, salmorejo, Cantabrian anchovies and numerous cuts of pork). Since I'd had a late breakfast and was not super hungry, I went for a fish main and a starter. After a week in Seville and Córdoba I had already experimented plenty salmorejo and anchovies, so I picked something different, grilled octopus (pulpo a la brasa). For the starter, I tried patata brava, after a bad experience in another city.
The food quality was great. The patatas bravas came with a fried egg on top, with liquidy yolk. The potatoes were soft, rich and flavourful, the spicy sauce was not crazy hot (which I appreciated), instead very tomatoey and rich. The combination with the egg was on point. The octopus was incredibly crunchy and soft inside, coming with a sweet potato puree and chips. Seeing how tasty everything was, I could not let a dessert go unordered, even though I was already quite full. Being the chocolate freak that I am, I went for the three chocolate cake. A three-layered chocolate ganache cake with a crumbly cookie base. It was clear this was made fresh and was a delicious wrap up to a delicious meal (+ an espresso).
Service was pretty fast and attentive. Staff was checking in, making sure everything was fine or I needed refills. Obviously prices were on the higher end of the spectrum, but it is to be expected with quality ingredients, great central location and locale.

Read moreWe chose this restaurant because the vibe was nice and food seemed great. Had some good wine and the appetizer (burrata salad) was super delicious. However, my husband started feeling lightheaded from being tired (NOT caused by the food) and fainted. The staff was incredibly helpful, called an ambulance and immediately rushed to come help me. They were super nice in such a stressful situation. It is really appreciated and I would like to thank the whole staff again!!! It is a shame that we were not able to finish our food because it was very good. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also nice. When my husband felt better and we decided to walk back to our nearby hotel, we asked to pay (especially for the food we already ate). They told us it was all free, as long as my husband was feeling better and essentially did not accept our offer to pay. It was very kind of them. When we will be back in Granada, i would definitely come back to have a full meal. And THANK YOU again to the staff that...
Read moreWe spent two incredible weeks exploring Spain and Portugal, but one meal truly stood out from the rest. At this exceptional restaurant in Granada, we savored a culinary experience that exceeded our wildest expectations. The Rabo de Toro, fall-off-the-bone ribs cooked for 24 hours and deboned at the table, was a masterpiece. The burrata was creamy perfection, and the patatas bravas, made with Chef Ester's secret sauce recipe, were absolutely divine. But the pièce de résistance was the dessert, expertly assembled at the table by the attentive and talented waiter, Samuel. We were blown away by the presentation and flavors. As someone who works in the culinary industry and has had the privilege of dining at some of the world's top restaurants, I can confidently say that this meal was truly one of the best I've ever had. If you ever find yourself in Granada, do not miss the opportunity to dine here. Trust us, you...
