I could write volumes about this Macaronesia island town hideaway, but this Red Mountain sea view fusion restaurant and bar *Tanteo * will have to do. Stunned! Completely loved the healthy, homemade hot potato chips accompanied by two delicious dips – one rich tomato and the other an addictive fresh salsa. Served with a glass of refreshing quality prosecco, I could not resist a third glass! We had high expectations after reading all the good reviews but we left quite disappointed. Our dishes (e.g. salmon tatar) weren't arranged no way as nicely as on the photos here. The fish of the day was good but the pork stew was bland, salt being the predominant flavor. The service was inattentive. They brought the main dish (the stew!) for my partner fifteen minutes after mine without any word of excuse. Empty tables waited for being cleared away for half an hour. Our favourite meal in El Medano. The food was great and the wine was the best we had during our stay. But mostly it was the service that made this a great experience.

In general, the customer service we’ve had during our stay in the Canary Islands has been below par but this exceeded any expectations.
