Not going back. First of all let me say that the customer service was very good. Absolutely nothing wrong with the kind and attentive waitress. We are not going back because of the food. It is just not worth going out to a restaurant when you make better food at home. I ordered an Angus Burger with Foie Gras and caramelized onion and was very disappointed. I was hungry from a loooong walk so I ate it all. (Yes I know. Shame on me). What I got served was a burger with a small piece of Foie Gras (that's OK though) on it, caramelized onion spread thin on really boring, white, half soggy bread. Even the local kebab shop has better burger bread đ€·đŒââïž On the plate the chef had drizzelled a few leafs of premixed salad that had seen better days, (the same you get premixed and prepacked in the supermarket) and some potato wedges that clearly weren't homemade but but totally OK. I was really looking forward to a juicy burger but when I got it served we couldn't belive our own eyes. When we looked inside the burger we thought it was a joke. I don't belive I've ever been served a more depressing burger in my entire life. The restaurant looks so beautiful from the outside and the location is marvelous so we expected some quality on the food. It could have sooo many more guests if they just made a little effort on the food. The quality of the food is not reflecting the chic, high end impression the restaurant gives you. Why not at least try to have some pride while serving food? I would not be caught dead serving such a half hearted meal to anyone. If it is about cost then charge a few more euros and get a better burger bread that you warm up, put some fresh salad on it, add some dressing, some vegetables like tomato or pickles and be generous with the caramelized onion. You don't even have to add truffle oil or demi glaze if is too much work. Those few changes would definitely spice the sad burger up a lot, esthetically and taste vise. It's so easy and costs so little. Another tip. Just drop sprinkling those few precut salad leafs on the plate to make it look more exciting. It had the opposite effect. It was just so disappointing because when you read "Angus burger with Foie Gras and caramelized onion" you are expecting a little bit of gourmet. In it self foie Gras and Angus beef are considered gourmet food. So sad to ruin such lovely ingredients with such an uninspired presentation served on low quality products. Respect the angst burger and the foie grad and pair them up with the quality ingredients...
Read moreRIP OFF, RIP OFF, RIP OFF!!!!! Do not go to this restaurant! Having visited this restaurant over the years I found it hard to understand the complaints about tourists been ripped off. But I have to say that it is true having visited last week I saw some one have the salted sirloin steak and it looked fantastic. So this evening I decided to order the steak and to say I was disappointed is an understatement!! I was served half of a sirloin steak (3 slices of steak) When my wife and I visited the restaurant 5 days ago we watched a Spanish couple order the same dish and they got a full sirloin steak that looked amazing as you would expect. When we complained the staff were disinterested and extremely rude. We paid our bill and left but be assured we will never come back and will never recommend you to our many friends that visit the Guardamar. You are a disgusting RIP OFF and deserve to have no tourists visit your restaurant, you are very foolish to underestimate your main source of income! We will find somewhere...
Read moreEaten may times at the beach and have my favorite places but wanted to test out a new place. There was many people even for the season but I got a table for 1. Ordered sangria, a salad and two prawn croquettes. What a rip off. Salad was with salmon and tuna. One tiny slice of salmon an canned tuna. The croquettes was okay but when eating I found a rotten salad leaf. No body came to ask is my food was okay so when the waitress came to take my plates I didnât wanted to make a scene so just said âplease make sure the salad is fresh next timeâ while pointing at the rotten leaf. Her reaction was just ewwww and walked away with the plates without a word. When the bill came I was a bit surprised to see it was all full price. Any other place they would have discounted it or taken away the food that was not fresh.
Very disappointed and I canât...
