Always a required stop for us when we're on the island, not only for quality French food, but also some of the best cocktails on the island. Plus, the owner Charles is one of the true characters on the island. This time I had the moules marinière, which the chef added a splash of absinthe to for an exotic kick. And my wife had the steak frites, perfectly "saignant", and flavourful. All accompanied by the best "frites" on the island. And no trip to "1805" would be complete without a cocktail from the inventor of the famous "Green Beast" - this time I tried a Diablo Fresca, which could be a new summer favourite, and also Charles was able to create a zero-alcohol cocktail for my wife (as designated-driver) which she swears she couldn't tell didn't even have a splash of tequila in. We came here the first year they were open and because we loved it, we came back several times. Last night was our first time since COVID, and what a delight it still is. The food is amazing - Mussels in curry sauce with French fries are my favorite, but the gratinaded ones were great as were the chicken nuggets in Special K crumbs and the terrine and salad. The service is excellent - didn't get the name of the lovely Irish waitress, but not only was she fast, professional and friendly, she was a lot of fun. Charles, who runs the place is so welcoming. There's not much he doesn't know about cooking mussels, and running a restaurant in general. What can I say, this is our most favourite bar in the whole of Ibiza!!! We've been coming to Ibiza for 4 years now and we always make sure we come to bar 1805. The cocktails are amazing the food is amazing and the owner Charles is just so charming and a wonderful 😍 we love the atmosphere and I absolutely reccomend people to visit. Its so quirky a bit like me really. We can't wait to go back...
