An absolutely cracking spot. This pool is attached to Hotel Cenit so if you're a guest there, you're a guest here.
The pool / bar appears to be leased out so is under different management, but again, if you're a guest of Hotel Cenit, you have full use of the facilities.
The staff are top notch - extremely attentive without pushing you to purchase. I do note that some reviews say non guests have a minimum spend of €50 per person which is reasonable to keep the freeloaders out... nothing worse than arriving as a guest of an establishment to see that all the loungers are full.
We stayed Apr 18/19/20 and the pool never seemed busy - always loungers available, however this is opening week and no doubt in the summer the place is packed.
The price of food / drink is not any more expensive than on the street in Ibiza town... a 1l jug of Sangria is €25, a beef Nachos (enough for a snack for 2) is €13.... very reasonable considering the surroundings.
The music flows in the background nicely... may not suit a retired couple trying to get away from it all, but this is Ibiza!
Again, a 5* shout out to the staff, really attentive.. the manager was running around making sure that everyone was OK for umbrellas / picking up any napkins etc. that fell on the floor.... really making sure the place was looking its best and the staff were never more than a few seconds away when you wanted them, but did not bother you if you did not want to be bothered.
We did not want to leave on our departure day, this really made our hotel stay...
Read moreI’m gonna start with a positive note: view, the view is really nice. I was a hotel guest, Cenit, and with that, was entitled to using the pool. Nevertheless, one of the employees told me that I am not allowed to leave the pool and leave my towel at my sun bed. I told him I am coming back, just going to get something from my room and to make a call, he said I’m blocking my sun bed from being rented to the other paying guests. Even tho we only spent few hours there, every day after the beach, always buying drinks, and it was my 5th (!) stay at the hotel, he said if I wanna leave the pool, I can’t leave any of my stuff there. NOT EVEN TO GO TO MY ROOM IN A HOTEL ACROSS THE STREET, FOR 10 MINS. I am sorry but that is unacceptable. Second thing, I, just like other guests, were told that we’re not allowed to bring our own water. I get that you’re not allowed to bring drinks and food, and it’s ok, I never did, nor would I, but people are not allowed to bring their own water, so we guests are forced to buy water from them, 0,2 L for 4 € something. (I can’t say with certainty how much the water is cuz it’s been 2 months since my stay). Now, I am not cheap, nor poor, otherwise I wouldn’t vacation in Ibiza, but I find the idea of forbidding guests to bring their own water, on 38 degrees, simply wrong, so wrong. I constantly saw people taking out bottles from their backpacks and drinking it secretly under their towels or bringing it to the restroom and drinking there....
Read moreVery disappointing service to be honest. This is why it’s getting one star. We stayed in the Cenit hotel for 7 days. The service staff at the pool told us in a very rude way that we are not allowed to leave our towels for more than 5 minutes. Ridicoulus. Also, it is not allowed to drink a bottle of water, which we bought in the hotel for 3,50€. They are charging 5€ At the pool for a small bottle. I see, their rules. But anyway, this is ridiculous. We bought many drinks, when we stayed there and they literally stopped me drinking a sip of my own water. And all this happening with a guest of the hotel. Very unfortunate. Not all the stuff is unfriendly, though. The impolite guy was walking around with sunglasses. Which I also don’t get as a service staff. But ok.
All in all, the pool is nice. They are better in Ibiza, of course. But it is cozy. Cocktails are good. food i didn’t try.
But this whole experience made one clear: I will never come back as a guest to the hotel even though this was my third time here. Very...
