Soleado — Restaurant in Ibiza

As good as the breakfast might be, the staff’s attitude completely ruins the experience. The waitress and the man in the kitchen are incredibly rude, with a clear hostility towards anyone who doesn’t speak Spanish (which, by the way, is the only language spoken by the entire staff). Don’t like dealing with tourists? Then why open a restaurant in the center of Ibiza?

We even asked completely normal questions — in Spanish, mind you — the kind anyone would ask in any restaurant. And the incredibly rude waitress would just shake her head “no” without even bothering to speak. No explanation, no effort, just pure bad attitude.

Asking for something as basic as a napkin turns into a problem: “we only give one per person.” Seriously? Not even a smile or a “good morning” during the three days we went. Zero empathy, zero willingness to work, zero customer service.

If being there bothers you so much, change jobs. There are plenty of people who actually know how to treat customers and welcome tourists who come to...

My wife and I went by this place earlier this afternoon - around 2-30pm on Sunday 22 June 2025. We tried to get the attention of the older waitress on duty but she was fully committed to simply ignoring us, presumably so we would give up and go away. As we had been here before on a previous holiday we gave it the benefit of the doubt and made sure she was aware of us standing right in front of her. I can only describe her attitude as openly hostile and deeply unpleasant so we left. This woman needs to follow a different career - maybe in the prison service - but definitely not dealing with innocent holidaymakers. Soleado management - she is your brand ambassador. And therefore she is killing...

Update July 2024. We chose Soleado for our 1st and our last dinner of our annual visit to Ibiza. One fish, one meat dinner. Both excellent. Soleado is for us, by large, the best quality-price dining experience in Figueretas. Sitting alongside the sea, top Mediterranean/Provençale cuisine, top service. My deepest respect and gratitude to Aline and Philippe for keeping the top quality year after year, making it an important element of our happiness in Ibiza.
