Pizzeria Ristorante da Fabbio — Restaurant in La Oliva

We’ve been visiting the island for years and have always enjoyed coming to your pizzeria. During each stay, we usually eat there 3–4 times over two weeks, whether dining in or ordering takeaway. The food has always been excellent, and the prices fair – no complaints in that regard.

However, what happened last night was the complete opposite of the warm hospitality we’ve come to love here on Fuerteventura. We arrived at 6:55 PM – the restaurant opens at 7:00 PM – and sat down to wait. Instead of a friendly greeting, the waiter (possibly the owner) rudely told us we had to wait 20 more minutes. That wasn’t a problem for us – we know the oven needs to heat up. But during that time, no drinks were offered, no polite words were exchanged – instead, he was busy cleaning tables outside and taking phone orders.

Later, when we asked if we could sit inside like we always do with our group of seven, he sarcastically replied that we could all squeeze into a two-person table.

We had hoped to spend our last evening on the island enjoying a meal at your place. Instead, we left disappointed and frustrated. Again – your food is great – but the service, especially the behavior of that waiter, was disrespectful, condescending, and absolutely unworthy of such a beautiful, peaceful island.

I cannot even begin to describe my experience with this "restaurant". We had the misfortune of "eating" here about a month ago. Poor, unwelcoming and rude staff, cold and disgusting food. Worst of all, when told this, the staff were defensive, hostile and refused to accept this, even though the pasta and lasagne were stone cold. The staff instead of listening, decided to completely ignore our complaints, and I was told "there's nothing wrong with the food". We were unsurprisingly, not paying for cold food and abysmal service, so we attempted to leave only for my mother to be assaulted by the female waitress. She was dragged back by the woman, all the while having profanity screamed into our ears. We eventually where able to walk away. I have never experienced this abuse, yes abuse, in all my life. I should have reported this to the Guardia Civil as an assault, however we were so shaken by the experience, we couldn't believe what had just happened. Someone should teach them how to behave like human beings, then manners, then how to cook. Such a shame, as we are homeowners in...

As a long-time local resident and frequent customer, I’ve always appreciated the quality of the pizzas here. However, my recent experience was deeply disappointing.

While dining with my two young children, I noticed that the table we were about to use had bird droppings on it. I politely asked if I could clean it myself and requested something to wipe it down. I completely understand that the owner was busy and managing multiple orders, but his response was unnecessarily rude and unprofessional.

There is simply no justification for speaking to a customer in that manner, especially when the request was made with courtesy and consideration.

Unfortunately, this interaction has left a sour taste, and I’ll be choosing to support one of the many other excellent local options...
