Fuego & Grano — Restaurant in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Fuego & Grano is one of those restaurants that you just have to try! The restaurant is situated close to the beach and the atmosphere within is classy yet warm and cozy. The kitchen is next to the seatings which means that the atmosphere and the energy from the kitchen can be felt while you’re having your dinner. And the food is amazing! We had the most delicious empanadas and the best rice-dish which was sort of paella-like but with pork, mushrooms and truffle. The staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome. The restaurant was 10/10 and we will definitely be coming back next time we visit...

Very good food and attentive service, nice atmosphere. All with a luxurious feeling. The “French toast” dessert was especially worth a try. Burrata was also very good.

We came to Fuego for the great reviews on the special meat. Unfortunately you have to buy a big piece (1,2-2 kg) for about 90 euros per kg. So unless you have a big wallet or come in a big group to share, you cannot experience this meat, which was a huge disappointment for us since we came here for that. Cena para 7, viernes 15 de diciembre con cenas de empresas y amigos por todos lados. Un solo camarero. 3 horas desde que nos sentamos hasta q salimos. Obviamente el Servicio no llegaba a atender correctamente a todas las mesas por mucho q se esforzase. 3x2 entrantes. Uno de los entrantes elegidos no lo tenían, las empanadillas criollas, así que cambiamos a las de cerdo (secas) Croquetas bastante buenas, de resto nada destacable. Carnes seleccionadas de 4 tipos diferentes, dos de ellos no los tenían, así q todos los comensales que habíamos elegido diferentes cortes nos unificamos en lomo alto que pedimos vinieran hechos de cocina pues nos queríamos evitar el humo de la piedra en la mesa. Error! La carne vino en su correcto punto solicitado (salvo una q se repitió) pero quemada. Ese quemado de la parrilla q no se limpia q amarga y estropea el sabor. Una pena, porque tenia una pinta excepcional, eso si, las papas fritas parecían de bolsa congelada. Dos postres al centro. Nuevamente uno de los seleccionados no lo tenían (la tarta de queso) migramos a Lemon pie (amargo a más no poder ya q para mi gusto rallaron el blanco del limón hasta la médula) y con la tierra de galleta manida. Eso si, presentación de 10. Los que comieron el coulant de chocolate dijeron q estaba muy bueno. A resumen, si comemos por los ojos de 10, porque todo era muy bonito, pero sabores y texturas para mí lamentables. Una pena pero no...
