So we arrived in Las Palmos for my birthday and walked around a lot to find something to eat. There was Spanis food booked for the next two nights, and as an Italian food lover, I wanted some pasta or pizza.
We were so lucky to find this place and the food was excellent. A sicilian brother and sister team with excellent taste and so friendly. I have no idea why we managed to get a table. Maybe because it is tucked in a side street.
I have been to Sicily 15 years, and this was certainly like local food. Note: they have pasta, meat, and Pinsa not pizza. Pinsa is like a crispy foccacia with pizza toppings. Don't miss it and enjoy! Go for the Nero d'avola...

Very pleasant server. I decided on the bruschetta for starter. Great choice, it was delicious... Lovely, fresh tomatoes. I then had the full portion carbonara, which could probably have fed 2. It was potentially the best carbonara I have ever had. Great pasta and sauce, with tasty bits of bacon. My partner had the cod croquettes followed by tagliatelle Bolognese... All equally good. But the fried squid, though a very generous portion & nice crisp, was rather tasteless. The pasta took a really long time to come that we almost wanted to cancel our order. The ravioli was a little too stale and too thick. The baked pasta I had was a really generous portion, but kinda lack flavour.
Hot chocolate wasn't too bad though, big cup, not too sweet as one can add...
