Marisquería La Lonja — Restaurant in Logroño

Good fresh second choice raw materials, decent location and with horrible service quality. After ordering we received food but we had to ask many times for cutlery since we had only crab crackers and picks. Right after we had to ask for bread, but yet we were told it's in the oven cooking (??!!). I'm happy to know it's freshly baked bread, but it should be cooked before opening the restaurant and receiving orders. I begged at least for Picos (bred sticks) so i could begin eating something and the waiter told me they don't have any. After 15 minutes with the dish in the table i received bread and a portion package of Picos (Wth? I asked for it a quarter an hour ago so I could begin eating). Anyhow, we had to wait over an hour for the Paella 🥘 that was already ordered at reservation. Rice in the Paella was well cooked but it didn't have enough fish and muscles. The food, well in particular our Mariscada was amazing, and you can't fault the service, however it's a 4 based on the decisions of the kitchen. Having lived in Spain for years before, getting your food when ready is normal.. However we booked in advance and were advised to book rice dishes so they could be ready, as they take a while to cook So we were surprised after starters and a leisurely wait our mariscada arrived. We asked about the arroz negra to be told it would be another 30mins. We did not want to eat 30 mins before our 2 boys I said this, so they then brought the arroz very undercooked!!!! This restaurant is absolutely incredible. When my father and I showed up (two pilgrims), we were immediately welcomed by the chef like family. He helped us make our wine choice, even offering a free glass of white wine to try. The paella was delectable - the best paella we have had during our week in Spain. At the end of the meal, locals offered us the rest of their wine bottle; this perfectly demonstrates how friendly the atmosphere in the restaurant was.
