My Tropicana dream is just dead. I was a tourist. Before entering here to eat, I was passing by twice by your restaurant and the smell of grill and calamarii drawn me here. We requested a table and the waiter told us to wait. He was actually writing the reservation hours for the tables. How rude I thought, and on this occasion I had the opportunity to just walk away. I didn't. When the waiter finished, he invited us to the table. It was one of the reserved one and he told us we should go by the time the reservation will be effective. We ordered quickly so we have time to leave in time. We ordered sardines that were to salty and not fresh. Tomato wedges with garlic and basil with no taste and awful presentation on the plate. Sea food chowder that contained an awfully liquid with 2 spoons of sea food with 2 dried sliced bread, so dried that never got soaked. Because we were hungry and the food was 😞 awful we asked for something else. Meanwhile, the waiter came with someone else near our table. He actually looked on our reservation. I was curious, is he thinking to tell us to go? Really guys I was never felt so disappointed of the service. We ordered grilled veggies. Easy to prepare, can't be bad. It was hard and no taste. We asked for the bill, for 10 minutes. When earlier we got a lot of attention to the reserved table, now with waived hands, no one seems to see us. We paid for this meal 55euro, the biggest failure in our vacation. We didn't even enjoy the view. Very disappointed. Later, I saw the reviews less than 4 and now I...
Read moreWe wanted to try Paella and this was the first restaurant we saw so we decided to take a chance. We had to reserve a table as they were busy but the hostess said twenty minutes, so we went for a walk on the beach. When we got back, the table was ready in a few minutes and we had a nice beachfront view. The food was exceptional. It was my first time trying paella and we ordered the seafood one. It was delicious. It was about €18 per person and they said it served two people. There were four of us and we ordered one plate which was large and managed to fill our tummies. We also tried the specialty dish of grilled sardines and they were good. I'm not usually a fan of sardines though. Surprisingly the chips were my highlight. They were flat chips which curved around the edges and they were delicious. The service was impeccable. The waitstaff were so lovely, friendly and encouraging when I was practising my Spanish with them. Overall, it was an...
Read moreWe had two meals here - Tapas at lunchtime which were very basic and boring, but the wine and staff made up for that disappointment.
It loses a star for the dinner service we had when we realised that locals are treated different to us pesky tourists.
I ordered sea bass from the barbecue. When locals were served it the waiter took the meat off the carcass at the table. When tourists were served it, the whole fish was placed in front of them. Luckily I know how to handle this but it annoyed me that they care less about the tourists.
The Sea Bass was utterly delicious once I got it off the bone. Potatoes and vegetables accompanying it were very nice.
My partner had Monkfish Medallions which was mostly bone, very tough and mostly disappointing.
Frites which were ordered with the Monkfish did not come until we were finished, and the waiter got slightly annoyed with us for reminding him about them. Those...
