Cobalto 15 — Restaurant in Málaga

BEWARE! The food is nice and this is a nice place to sit. BUT...I believe that they tried to scam us with the bill. We ordered bogavante brioche and it is listed at €17 in the menu, but came on our bill, labeled and charged €25. We noticed and it was immediately changed. It appears that the prices change depending on your hair color and accent. CHECK YOUR BILL ..as you should everywhere.

The review was not implying that anyone is "racist", nor am I being racist in any way by implying that the practice of overcharging tourists is something to be aware of. Ironically, we noted the price of the brioche bogavante weeks ago when walking by, and returned because everything looked quite nice. The price then was 17 as well, not 24 (nor 25, what we were charged from your computer system).

If, in fact, this was an honest error, I understand your outrage at the review. Since the "special price" appears to be permanently printed on your menu, I do suggest you remove the option to charge 25 in your computer system. To me, it felt like we were intentionally being overcharged. That is why I wrote this review...a fair review noting the good...

Cobalto 15 is the most elegant, and proper terrace bar restaurant in Malaga Capital. That is my view based on my experience with this beautiful locale. I have been enjoying Cobalto 15's quality services, and high end spirits for several years during all of my stays in Malaga. Courtesy, professionalism, and a sense of sincere customer service. You might also get a good conversation. Best of all is the generous range of high quality spirits and beverages. Their cuissine is also delectable. A delicious fussion. I love their Tuna Tataki. It is as good or even better than any I had while living in Japan. Cobalto 15 is staffed with Dedicated Experienced Baristas. I am always glad to vist Cobalto 15. I specially enjoy hanging out at the bar area gazing out towards the Sea, or catching a great Sunset from this choice location on the upper level...

Nice looking clean place by the port with views..BUT there was something ruining the mood, at least when we visited. We had drinks in the evening, the place wasn’t exactly full of people but quite busy. Drinks were fancier than average but also more expensive. Problem was the service. Or actually one of the waitresses. There were two waitresses taking care of people besides the bartender. Other waitress was friendly to us and did her best in my opinion while the other one was clearly frustrated at her job. Tossing the drink menus on the table, barely any smile or word from her. Place was busy and probably stressful but it shouldn’t transfer to the customer. Maybe hire more staff since the waiting times were so long that we decided to leave instead of ordering...
