El Sacromonte Tapas — Restaurant in Málaga

When we arrived with 3 persons, we directly got a table. This restaurant is listed as Tapas bar on Google maps. The waiters first recommendation was a T bone steak to share. On request only, he told us that it is a 900-1000g portion for around 40 Euros. But our intention was to enjoy some Tapas and we asked for a Tapa menu which we never get. Instead of this, another waiter told us that for every drink we order we get an Tapa for free. So we ordered three drinks and we got three Tapas, all the same. Some kind of blood soop that may be convenient for locals but for us it is not so tasty. At in the beginning they served as some bread so we ask for some Aioli. instead of Aioli the waiter served us some Packs of Mayonnaise five pieces, which we declined. Then he asked us if we want ketchup instead👎. Concludely we didn't get what we want, instead we have the feeling that the waiter wanted to sell us anything but not that...

We had a very special experience. We were laying on the beach and drank some very nice beers from our new friend when suddenly we were getting hungry, therefore we decided to grap some tapas.

When we arrived the waiter just hitted his head on the sunshade, this was some funny entertainment to start our lunch with, definitely worth one star extra because of this.

The food was very hit and miss. The steak was excellent only a little bit too salt. The shrimp arrived a little too soon but they were not grilled unfortunately. The problem was the sea brass. For some reason it had tentacles and was very dry even with aioli. Next time perhaps cook it a little less.

Don't listen to the negative reviews. This restaurant/bar is great. When we arrived (20.30), it was entirely empty. Empty + negative reviews.... I almost wanted to turn around, till one of the employees approached us, asking if we wanted to eat. We said yes, and that was a good decision. The service was amazing, employees are working with a smile on their faces (even singing along to the music, loved that). You get free food with drinks. We got sangria, and it was the best sangria that we got in our 6 day holiday, and we had a lot in these days. The food was great too (great ribs and croquettes) and the price is low. Great choice and we enjoyed our final few hours in Spain, thanks...
