We have been in Spain for three weeks and Málaga is our third city. We can say without a doubt that our dinner last night at Niccia was by far the best meal we have had so far in Spain. We stopped in for a glass of wine on Wednesday afternoon and found out they had only opened the day before. So we decided to try it for a special anniversary last night. The friendly staff are wonderful and attentive (and speak great English); the restaurant itself is fresh and well-appointed; and the food was perfect! We started with focaccia, even though there was a basket of bread served as well, and then shared one of the best chicken Caesar salads we have ever had anywhere. I ordered tortelloni and my husband had a porcini ravioli, which were both delicious. The wine which was served was a perfect pairing. We are so happy we chanced upon this new restaurant in the neighbourhood where we are staying for three weeks. We will definitely be back again before we...
Read moreI tryed a very disappointing uninspired risotto, that was lacking of any flavour beyond the separate ingredients.
They ask if the food was good and my face showed that it wasn’t, so they offered to take the plate out and that I can order something different so I switched to the entrecôte, they asked what I wanted with it so I said rugula.
The entrecôte it self was good.
When I asked for the check to my surprise they charged me 50% of the price for the risotto plus the side of rugula. I was extra upset and they offered to give a free dessert or a shot but that’s not the point, if they have a policy of charging for the bad plates that they offer it should be informed advance not as a bad surprise at the end of the service.
After talking 3 times and a check up with the manager they didn’t charge me for this but the whole experience was destroyed. Definitely not returning to this place there are way better places in Malaga...
Read moreI visited Niccia tonight with my friends as we’re on hockey from Ireland.
This place has a really welcoming atmosphere—laid-back, cozy, and perfect for catching up with friends or grabbing a casual bite. The lighting is soft, the music isn’t too loud, and everything just feels relaxed and easygoing.
The food definitely hits the spot. It’s simple but done right—fresh ingredients, good portions, and full of flavor. I tried the ceaser salad and it was cooked perfectly. You can tell they care about what they’re serving.
Service was friendly and fast. The staff checked in just enough and were some of the loveliest people we have meet.
If you’re looking for a chill place with good food and a comfortable vibe, this one’s definitely worth a visit. Thanks...
