I recently had the pleasure of dining at a restaurant Carmen and it truly impressed me with its exceptional cuisine, attentive service, and delightful atmosphere. I ordered the tuna tartar, tortilla, burrata, oysters, and more. I have to say, it was an experience to remember.

The tuna tartar was a true standout dish, featuring fresh, perfectly diced tuna combined with vibrant herbs and a tangy dressing. The flavors and textures were perfectly balanced, resulting in a dish that was both light and satisfying.

The tortilla was another highlight, featuring a golden crust and a fluffy, well-seasoned interior. The potatoes and onions were cooked to perfection, creating a comforting and delicious dish that was perfect for sharing.

The burrata was creamy and rich, with a subtle tang that complemented the sweetness of the tomatoes perfectly. And the oysters were simply divine, fresh, and briny, served with a zesty mignonette sauce.

Throughout the meal, the service was impeccable, with a knowledgeable and attentive staff who were always available to provide recommendations and answer any questions we had. The atmosphere was equally delightful, with a cozy and welcoming ambiance that made us feel right at home.I highly recommend Carmen to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. The tuna tartar, tortilla, burrata, oysters, and all the other dishes we tried were exceptional, showcasing the skill and creativity of the chef. The service was outstanding, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. It truly was a dining experience that exceeded all...

Whilst this is a great spot for people watching, we did so mostly with no or empty glasses.

Firstly, after waiting ages, I had to go and inform a member of staff that we were sat at a table. He said he would come and take our order, but never did.

I went back and asked another member of staff, who did eventually bring us a tile with a QR code. Great, we could now see the menu but still had to chase for service.

Eventually getting glasses of wine, we relaxed. Getting the second one proved impossible. Even going to the bar, I found there was nobody there. Was I going to have to rugby tackle a member of staff if I could see one?

The guy from the table next to us was also wandering about trying to pay. I gave up on the second drink and finally negotiated for an opportunity to pay.

Who knows what was happening on the day? I cannot believe they’d last a week if this was the norm. Absolutely shocking (lack of) service but we’ll no doubt give them another shot...

I had a wonderful experience at El Carmen in Málaga. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish felt authentic and well-prepared, which made the meal a real pleasure.

The service was equally impressive. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. I’d especially like to mention Ms. Flor, whose kindness and professionalism added a special touch to the evening. She made sure everything was perfect from start to finish.

Overall, El Carmen is a place I would highly recommend for anyone visiting Málaga. Great food, excellent service, and a...
