Restaurante Cofrade Entre Varales — Restaurant in Málaga

Went there this summer with friends for a bite. When we got there the inside was empty save for a couple dining in a corner. We ordered some drinks and food. It started to past the fifteen minute mark when the drinks arrived. The place started to gradually fill up and our food arrived one dish at a time, at ten minute intervals. Some of the tables that were filled after were served before we did. I believe some people even finished before we even got our full order.

Absolutely appalling. I am from Malaga myself and this is unacceptable wherever you go. In the end we asked for the bill of whatever we ate and left (apparently that's the custom in Spain). Some of us were starving and had to go to a pizza corner to eat something. This is because only half of us got our food in the end.

I will recommend staying away...

Dreadful experience here this afternoon…despite waiting by a table outside whilst the previous occupants paid up, the waiter us (4 of us) that a Spanish couple were there first and basically asked us to leave. This caused upset to one of our party that suffers serious anxiety and resulted in her taking off. We felt prejudiced as we are English and the restaurant didn’t seem to care about losing a table of 4. Nice looking little place off the Main Street. Food was ok, and drinks were very reasonably priced €2 for a bottle of beer.

The service was pretty awful though. 30 minutes before anyone took our order, food took a further 45 minutes to arrive, and only half our order made it - the rest seemed to slip the waitress's mind.

At this point, we asked for the bill, three times (about every 10 minutes) before it was finally delivered. Don't go if you're at all pressed for time.

Other people did seem to be enjoying their food though. Perhaps if the rest had made it I would have given a...
