I believe that this restaurant was barely a week old...when we first visited but it was such a good experience that we returned for a second evening meal tonight. On both occasions, the evening service was busy with a large private party on our first visit and several large parties on our second visit. And yet, as a couple , we were made to feel special and valued customers in large part because of the attention and the recommendations and kind attention of Sergio and his team . This meant that we had some real taste sensations in the restaurant that were novel and new to us as British folks. On the first night that included a roasted avocado and scallop dish, followed by a delicious turbot plate and salmon plate with fennel and apple. A dessert to share was a goats cheesecake which was at one and the same time tangy and sweet. The expert and very helpful mixologist made fantastic Espresso Martinis that were perfectly balanced for us in terms of sweetness. On the second night a Malaga speciality salad with prawns sat well with an amazing Razor clams dish that 'zinged ' with freshness and herby flavours. I really appreciate the efforts made by the invisible genius in the kitchen. Thank you to this new team for making our time in Malaga a special one.

Update: We love this restaurant so much that we returned for a third time last Sunday. We had family with us this time and tried the team's arroz , their salmon and their veal dishes. All were cooked to perfection. The professionalism of the serving team is outstanding. The barman did not disappoint. Magical margaritas and expresso martinis with bailey cream. Wow! We only wish that we...

Having spent the last two and a half decades in the fiercely competitive Los Angeles dining scene, I can say that Doña Inés is a world-class restaurant. These folks intend to share the depth of Spanish cuisine with anyone who will open their hearts to it. Their style of hospitality is genuinely familial, and they proudly represent Málaga as it ascends to global recognition.

The food is profound. Local, fresh, and exquisitely prepared. Subtlety and texture provide the kind of nuanced experience discerning diners crave. Painstaking attention to detail produces developed flavors that bring Andalusian culinary heritage into view. The well-rounded, seasonal menu offers various avenues through the southern Spanish tradition. Spanish wine is having a moment, and the knowledgeable staff will gladly help you make a fine selection.

These malagueños are careful caretakers of their Andalusian heritage and do their part to contribute to its evolution. You'll transcend the mundane by choosing any of the Grupo Tercer Acto restaurants in the historical...

Undoubtedly one if the best place to dinne in. Professional staff with great attention to details from the service to the ambiance. Pleasant music and atmosphere. The price is just right given the service received and the quality.

Fantastic wine and cheese selection. Staff always recommends the right drink to marry your meal choice, and I personally love to let them suprise me every time.

Dare to let them advise you on their cocktails! (Dont leave without at least trying one). Must try the "ensaladilla rusa, bloodymary and aguacate con Vieira". If you are a wine lover, that's the place to be.

It is great to see staff working passionately and giving you a personal attention which is hard to find in so many establishments nowadays.

You won't be...

When entering the restaurant I was greeted by staff who were very professional and attentive. The place has a lovely atmosphere. Clean and modern decors. I really wanted to love their food but it was just ok I’m afraid. I had the scallop on a bed of grilled avocado to start with. A bit of a strange flavour combination when you also add Parmesan cheese to seafood. As main, I had the hake (merluza) with salsa verde. The sauce was not bad but the hake was underwhelming. The skin of the fish was soggy, while the fish was overcooked. I do think that making the skin crispy would have elevated the dish. Clearly, the restaurant is trying to be a bit more high end but it’s not quite there yet.

Doña Inés is quite a sophisticated place. The background music is smooth, a lot of attention is paid to the interior design of the place. This is generally a nice restaurant to have dinner. Food is good, but not special. I went there two times and had the salmon and the tuna. Nice meals, but nothing special and absolutely overpriced. Service is good, but it seems mainly to be focused on getting you out of there as soon as possible so they can fill another table. Because of that I didn’t really feel welcome. Both times the staff made some stupid mistakes that made me feel I wasn’t welcome. I doubt I will be back, despite the food and atmosphere.
