Ok an update that's overdue. July 2024
Since a new manager took over a while back it has sorted itself out and is now a regular place we visit. The service is now excellent!! Well worth a visit.
Old review from 2022
I've been coming here for over 2 years now as I'm a local resident in Soho. And I've been here solo or with my wife and others maybe 10 times... always hoping they'll be better.
Tonight was the last time. Even my cervecero changes the glass between beers. And offers snacks with each glass. They didn't here and that is extremely slack for a so-called wine expert place.
Not doing this would be ok if the place wasn't totally empty and they had nothing else to do. It was empty. Not a single other person most of the time.
They were mainly in the back room/kitchen drinking cerveza victoria they had bought in large bottles.
3 out of the 4 usb chargers sockets didn't work where i was sat.
They've had enough chances.
This place is mediocre at best. Maybe I wasn't guiri enough for them. It's a shame as this place could be great. Also pricey for what's on offer. Poor service even by Spanish standards

Read moreHave been buying wine retail here for the past six years each time we come to Malaga. Always found interesting wines and sherries to take home and knew the owner from his time at Pura Cepa in La Cala. Went in this week to buy some to take home and could only see drink-in prices on the shelves. Asked an employee where the take home prices were, and he said it might be possible to give a 5% discount on the drink in price. A retail margin is circa 35-40%. A wine bar margin is circa 65-70%. To expect a customer to pay bar prices for wine to take away is madness. To put it into context, a nice Albarino that I paid €16 for in La Cala was €23 on the shelf here. Would be a whole euro off with their 5% discount. Not sure what's happened here but we...

After ask for recommendation to the server, he seem to don’t have any clue about the wines that they offer. So I ordered a local sweet wine from the menu, then he poured a totally different cheap dry wine to me trying to hide the bottle.. when I tested I ask him politely to check the bottle and he said that this wine was better option for me. I told him that this was not ethic and immediately a lady, apparently the manager, start to justified her college saying that may it was a mistake, and get offended by my words. But at the end they don’t have anymore the sweet wine. I wonder how many people they cheat at the...
