Spanish food culture is all about pork and alcohol. As a Dutch Muslim, it was difficult finding tasty halal food.
Zaiqa is your solution! It is a proper 100% halal restaurant where they don't serve alcohol. ate here for four days in a row for dinner with my wife and we didn't regret it! This is the best halal restaurant in Malaga in our experience.
For European standards, the restaurant serves delicious, finger-licking Pakistani food. It easily competes with places in for instance Birmingham. We noticed Malaga is filled with Indian-Mexican restaurants, but most of them make 100 dishes from the same base sauce which makes them taste the same - a waste of your appetite and money so don't go there!
Here the dishes were prepared fresh. In four dinners we had: the lamb biryani, rogan josh, saag paneer, mix grill, chicken jalfrezi, lamb balti, tandoori chicken, chicken pakoras, onion pakoras and the seekh kabab. Especially the lamb dishes were amazing, the meat was succulent! We recommend all of the above dishes. Especially the seekh kababs, rogan josh, chicken pakoras you have to try!
They also make an amazing desi chai (Pakistani milk tea), it took me back to the streets of Karachi, it was that good!
Big thank you for the staff for making our experience in Málaga a great one. Recommend all...
Read moreDiscovering an authentic Pakistani restaurant in Spain can be quite a challenge, but I was thrilled to stumble upon Zaiqa. My experience here was nothing short of incredible!
The food was an absolute 10/10—fresh, flavorful, and of the highest quality. But what truly made the evening exceptional was the outstanding customer service. From the moment we walked in until we left, the staff made sure we were well taken care of, going above and beyond to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
A special mention to Muskan, one of the waitresses, who was incredibly kind, well-spoken, and attentive throughout our meal. Her care and attention really stood out and added a personal touch to our dining experience.
Without a doubt, I’ll be coming back to Zaiqa in...
Read moreThis place has well made Pakistani and Indian food. While not the most authentic tasting Indian I’ve had, this is to be expected given that most foreign food place have to cater their dishes to the local population. That said it’s 100% worth a try. The food is well made and fresh. I’ve been here twice now and the first time I got the chicken Boti and the biryani. Both were great. The second time I went I got the seekh kabab and the chicken pakora and my wife got the chicken korma. We had everything with naan and rice. The service was excellent and the food came out in a timely manner. This restaurant is also conveniently located near a pretty nice mall called Larios so the area itself has plenty to do. Check...
