The food was so bad it ruined our morning, we ended up having breakfast somewhere else. There are plenty of brunch spots nowadays, and this one is clearly a fake. Just look at the overly curated concept, the prices, and the food… Jesus. At first glance, the dishes look appealing, full of colors and textures. But give the plate a second look and you’ll see the truth. We ordered the avocado toast: two slices of bread, one with some mashed avocado (without any salt, spices, etc.) the other with what tasted like canned tomato spread. Eggs aren’t included, you have to pay extra, and that applies to almost every dish. It’s like you’re getting half a meal, then being upsold on the rest with suggestions like “goes perfectly with xxx…” We also tried the granola Greek yogurt bowl, which was just sad: two slices of strawberry, two of kiwi, and half a banana. The peanut butter had actually gone bad, we couldn’t eat it. Once you taste the food and take a closer look, it becomes obvious that all the ingredients are store-bought and not fresh at all. I could literally taste the plastic bag my salad came from. So please, think twice before going to a hyped-up place like this, it is a rip off. I saw it on TikTok and just wanted to have a nice breakfast, but ended up totally disappointed.

Nice location. Friend service from the waitress. Pretty good presentation. But… quality of food is sadly bad. I ordered vegan pancakes that usually come with strawberries, blueberries and bananas, by default the pancakes come with caramel. I asked to remove bananas and add more berries. I don’t think more berries were added at all. I asked about other choices of syrups. If you want to add or change caramel for anything else (e.g. honey, Nutella), they charge you extra 1€. This is not a big deal. But… Pancakes came nicely presented (see the photo), but tasted awful. Just tasted like “nothing” or badly mixed “flour with unbalanced ingredients”. Some Mercadona flour mix pancakes taste better than these ones. The strawberries were not fresh, some of them were spoiled. This is is not acceptable at any restaurant. The caramel was not fitting whole pancake theme and felt like it was there to mask poorly made pancakes. Flat white was not of a top quality. Nice foam on top, but beneath watery coffee. I gave 2 starts and not 1 just because the waitress was friendly. Conclusion: don’t judge a book (food) by its pretty cover.

In North America, brunch is a staple. I’ve found it difficult to find a proper brunch spot while travelling throughout Europe so I was ecstatic to stumble upon Brunchit during my visit to Malaga. I had a craving for pancakes and when my server told me about Nutella and banana pancakes, I couldn’t resist. It’s not typical of me to have a dessert to start my day but it was oh so worth it. So much that I went back the very next day and had the pancakes with syrup because the quality of the pancakes were so good and delicious. I was totally satisfied on both accounts. My macchiato and cappuccinos were also top notch. The service was friendly and accommodating to my English speaking self. It’s also a great cozy atmosphere inside with WiFi and outlets to charge your devices while enjoying your beverage or meal. The pastries and other baked goods also looked amazing. I look forward to returning on my next visit back to Malaga! Gracias
