We found this beautiful restaurant just up the hill from the 'main' area near the fish market/steps to the harbour. Just look up the hill towards the big church and it's a two minute walk away in an idyllic little square. We cant recommend this restaurant enough. Both the food and service were outstanding. Moritz explained the food choices to us and is very passionate about serving beautiful, high quality food at very reasonable prices. You MUST try this restaurant as you will not be disappointed. We've been visiting Mahon for the last 10 years and have eaten in many restaurants. We genuinely feel this is one of (or THE best restaurant we've eaten in). Simply espectacular. Best Cheese assortment ever; very fun to eat and enjoy. Inredible salads and quite impressive selection of Tostas (Toast bread with toppings). Everything is freshly prepared, sometimes it may take a while, but it's well worth the waiting. There's something that feels off about this place; It's not expensive when it could easily be. I assume the bars around it are exerting some pressure onto this one in order to raise the prices. Everything in Mahon is pricey except this place, which seems odd. I would bet they will raise the prices sooner than later due to peer pressure, I have eaten much worse food for double the money. Dear ladies & gentleman… what a find. Before you read on… this is a must to go place. Just by searching on google maps I was looking for a dinner location. Found Moritz and thought a walk by would not hurt. Arrived at the door, and all steps lead down! Thought why not. Music was playing , empty bar as just opened for dinner. And what a surprise. The owner is absolutely genuine. Chef is great. Service is fantastic. Owner is really open and honest, and if you don’t like something, he’ll change it.
