SOHO MENORCA — Restaurant in Maó

It was a major waste of my precious time. Let’s just say French hospitality or to be more precise lack there of fails again. 15 minutes wait to order the drinks that never arrived. We wanted to Order drinks and food at the same time only to be answered by one of the lady server ‘ there is an order of people, you came last, we will serve the people who came first, then we will serve you’. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. It’s either you run a restaurant or you don’t, if the kitchen and waiting staff and not capable To deliver in a timely manner, don’t bother. 30 minutes passed, drinks still have not arrived. No food coming out of the kitchen at all. There are a bunch of people waiting and no one is eating as kitchen is not capable to cope. 45 minutes passed. We asked where our food was? Only to be answered again that we need to wait for our turn. That’s when I reached the boiling point, stood up and left. Rude, incompetent staff as well as the kitchen that is not able to cope with orders. Save your time and avoid. PS menu mediocre. Soho is a lovely cafe/bar/restaurant. We had the beef and bacon burger, fries and hummus and pitta with peppers. And a raspberry, cream and white chocolate cake for dessert. Absolutely delicious and very reasonable prices, including the beer, both draft and bottled. And, unlike many places in Mao, it’s open all day 😊 so it’s perfect if you want to escape the April winds for an afternoon. Awful staff and service, rude manager who asked us to cramped us on a small table despite having 3 tables empty, she was rude to her own staff and clients! Shocking!. Not friendly at all and so out of synch with the relaxed tone of the island. Food was average and drinks warm 🥹...
