Dear Barganzo Restaurant management, We are writing to express our disappointment with the experience we had on April 7th when we visited your establishment to celebrate a special moment - my girlfriend's birthday.
We were on vacation in Madrid for a few days and on the recommendation of a friend we decided to make a reservation with you for April 1st on our arrival in the city and out of admiration and love for the philosophy of Jewish culture. Unfortunately, the service we received on the first day did not live up to the expectations created by your restaurant's reputation, as the waiter who attended to us was rude and walked away while we wanted to ask about a certain wine. We appreciate this service and, as we liked the food very much, we decided to celebrate our anniversary lunch on April 7th. During our visit, we encountered difficulties with one of the waiters, whose behavior was unexpectedly rude and inattentive, I don't know his name but I know he is an Ecuadorian gentleman. He ordered the wrong food and drink for us. At one point we hadn't even finished our wine and he told us without politeness that we had to leave the table because our time was up. He then rushed past the table and very stupidly threw the box with the bill and said we had to leave the table. When we arrived at the restaurant, I had asked him to deliver a surprise dessert for my girlfriend to the table at the end of the meal before the bill was paid. (Obviously he would have paid for it) That didn't happen, he just pretended not to have understood and when I questioned him he was very disconcerted and didn't even apologize. We were hoping for a pleasant memory, but the lack of courtesy and professionalism significantly compromised our celebration. We understand that unforeseen events can happen, but we believe that the way employees interact with customers is crucial to the dining experience. For this reason, we would like to suggest an evaluation of customer service training, to ensure that future customers do not experience the same discomfort.
We thank you for your attention and hope that our feedback contributes to improvements that enhance the quality of service at Barganzo.
Sincerely, Elizângela Rodrigues and...

I've stumbled upon a hidden gem in Madrid that'll blow you away! Let me spill the beans on Barganzo, the coolest Israeli joint in town!
Seriously, the moment I stepped inside, I was like, "Whoa, this place is lit!" The vibes are totally on point — trendy, cozy, and chill. The Owner, Aviv, running the show is super friendly and eager to take you on a food adventure
Barganzo is straight-up magic in the kitchen. They whip up some next-level Middle Eastern goodness. Picture: silky-smooth hummus that's like a taste explosion in your mouth. And their falafel?! BUAH Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and packed with mind-blowing flavors. I swear, it's like they're playing a flavor symphony in your mouth.
The colors, the smells, the way they present it all — it's like a freakin' work of art. You gotta try their shakshuka, a hearty dish that's like a party in your belly. The spices, the fresh ingredients, it's a total flavor bomb.
they've got killer cocktails to wash it all down. Sip on a pomegranate mojito or a zesty lemon and mint concoction. these drinks are the perfect dance partners for the food they serve.
dessert? Their baklava is like a flaky, sweet dream, and I actually licked the plate.
when you hit up Madrid, don't sleep on Barganzo. The fusion of Israeli flavors, the chill vibes, and the warm hospitality make it a total game-changer. But book ahead cause this place is popular with locals and tourists
Seriously, you won't regret it. Five stars just ain't enough to do justice to this joint!
Enjoy, foodies, and...

After a long period of being away from good Mediterranean food, I stepped into Barganzo and wanted to order their whole menu (well, I sort of did). I've missed well seasoned food, a happy atmosphere and cooks that put their hearts on the plate. Sooo many vegan options, A++ for taste, ambiance and value for money.
In the pictures (thanks Antonio for modeling)
BARGANZO HUMMUS: Their special hummus. Hummus with hot cooked chickpeas, green tahini, amba tahini and Zumaque onion. I love it especially because of the amba sauce that makes all the difference.
WHOLE ROASTED EGGPLANT: Eggplant roasted directly over an open fire, served with white tahini, amba tahini, chopped tomatoes and red onion all seasoned with aromatic herbs. Not just a beautiful dish, it tastes well!
FALAFEL: soft falafel balls with tahini and parsley.
ISRAELI SALAD: Chopped vegetables salad with hot chickpeas and white tahini. Refreshing. Although it looks simple, the tahini and hummus upgrade the salad.
PITA SETAS (ARAYES): Full grilled pita bread with a mixture of mushrooms, onions and spices. This is a phenomenal dish, especially for mushroom lovers like me.
MASABBAHA : Hummus with mashable chickpeas, lemon, cumin and olive oil. Served warm. This is a hard core hummus, only for people who REALLY love hummus.
Thank you Barganzo, we will sure be...
