Wonderful place! Read the negative reviews. Don’t even make sense. Many slander Barbara. Had pleasure to have talked to her, wonderful woman: quick, efficient, respectful, just because she prefers to work to throw hugs and kisses d won’t make her a bad server. Everyone is very organized and friendly. Also, I’ve been coming to this place for 6 years now and if someone said that there was someone waiting it means someone was waiting at the bar. The bar is large inside as well, with all the loyalty (that paid off) they’d even put someone whoever asked for the table at their terraza they’d sit them first, even I had to wait! Going through those bad comments, none of them make sense. Wonderful place to be, most respectful in plaza chueca. So! No! It deserves 5 stars, no less! No marketing, real feel here! Makes me mad to read this first world problem crap. Go fish! Not true! The service, the attitude is amazing! Come see...

Amazing locale with typical Spanish taperia decoration.

The vermouth is quite famous here and it is reaaalllyy tasty. For the tapas there are a variety of them so you definitely won’t go hungry.

The price is very friendly to almost everyone. We had a couple of empanadas, some vinegar soaked Spanish anchovies (boquerones) and the olives are complimentary if you order a drink or some other tapas (again, very typical).

One thing to note is that the restaurant does get quite hot because there are no windows inside, so it would be really cozy in the winter, but it could be an issue in the summer.

Bustling with localites this age old tavern in the heart of tourist district of Madrid is very much part of the local night life. Tapas and finger food along with the tap service are basic but well accepted among the patrons. Dusty bottles in the open cellar and a greying old fashioned decor adds to the effect.
