ZAFYRO Cocktail Experience — Restaurant in Madrid

These were the worst cocktails I’ve ever had in my life. We should’ve gotten a hint when the table next to us said they didn’t like any of their drinks. Presentation is great but the taste of the drinks is left field.

Very strong taste but not of alcohol… but of lemon? Or bitters? It’s the strangest combination I’ve ever had in my life in terms of drinks. The drinks hurt my throat as well as my family’s.

I’d stay away from the Aladdin, the coconut one, the cat one and the frozen. The watermelon gin one as well These didn’t taste like good cocktails.. not good at all.

I would never go back in my life and I urge you to read reviews and research before cause I got excited with a 4.8 on Google out of 2k reviews.

Another red flag is that it’s a minimum of one cocktail per person. Red flag!

To me they tasted like excessively sweet medicine that burns your throat. no one came to us to ask if we liked our drinks; no one came to check in, or ask if we wanted or needed anything else we didn’t feel comfortable saying the 4 drinks you gave us were not nice; the vibe was as such where we didn’t feel comfortable and we ordered 4 (out of 6?8?) of your drinks with all of them tasting not so nice. your team saw us pay the bill with full glasses of all our drinks and didn’t care to ask for feedback or acknowledge it I had no personal issue with your bar or staff until I got a nasty reply to my review I gain absolutely nothing from writing an honest (read:negative) review of your bar; I don’t even live in Madrid I’ve caused no harm to the place with my lies, because I have not lied. This was my experience. I saw this was a 4.8 and got excited to come and try and was let down severely. I wrote this review to make sure people review this, and any other place, in depth what I wrote in the review is possible, because it happened. With witnesses and other tables agreeing. Sorry if you’re hurt by the truth of my experience my reviews for places are good when they’re good, and bad when they’re bad. Simple concept.

I came with a party of 4 to your restaurant. Ask the rest of my party and they’ll agree with my original review.

The cocktails tasted like penicillin, and though taste may be subjective, professionalism and politeness is NOT. Translation: Los cócteles sabían a penicilina, y aunque el sabor puede ser subjetivo, la profesionalidad y la cortesía NO lo son.

God forbid someone comes here thinking it’s great cause of the 4.8 rating, and writes an honest review thinking it’s not. And because I’m such a bad person, I promise you I will never come back here even if it’s the last place...

I think this is The best bar I've ever been to. I'm honestly not sure what to praise first and what was the best for me because everything left such a positive impression on me. The decoration of the bar itself is absolutely wonderful, so beautiful, relaxing and suitable for both the theme of the bar and the Christmas atmosphere. The songs are of course from Disney cartoons, musicals, sometimes Abba, Wham or Tina Turner, certainly anything that you can fully enjoy, vibe, relax or sing your soul out to. Cocktails cannot be described by words... They are so beautiful that at first you can't decide which one to order, and then you don't want to drink them, you just want to look at them. But then you try them and you want to drown in them because they are so good. It may seem to some that the cocktails are a bit more expensive, but believe me, they are worth every cent and you will nowhere else have such an experience and that is really worth it. The staff is absolutely amazing, they are so kind, approachable and welcoming, and so cute, they raise the atmosphere of the place even more, they know all the songs, sing, dance, know the choreography from High School Musical... All together in one word...

This is a discovery. The place is very crowdy but they wouln't say no to you. Their welcome os very simple and gentle but after that the cocktail service will get you a very tasty experience I know the Top Cocktail's Bar in Barcelona and Madrid and this one could be among the Top 10 indeed. If you are a fan of musicals and like fantasy tales at the same time, this will be your best choice for a night out with friend or could be the best next choice to continue the experience after a night of musical in Madrid. You name it! A flying-up Aladdin, a glamorous Beauty&Beat, an excentric Mary Poppins, a rising Lion King or a mysterious Phantom of the Opera, never cheap never too expensive but what I've never got is a disappointment.
