For anyone who drinks decaf - you don't do that there. This afternoon we had lunch with my mother and I ordered her decaf coffee, since she cannot drink caffeine for health reasons. We sat right next to the counter and I could see with the details how waitress was making it. She used the same portafilter for both of our coffees (example when you use the same portafilter for 2 cups of espresso where coffee comes out of both sides at the same time) then she put them on the counter and next brought them to us (there were just our 2 coffees). I asked for clarification on whether these were normal coffees or decaf ones as that was wrong what she done and impossible to get 2 different coffees from 1 portafilter at the same time. I used to work in hospitality and I know how coffee machines work, in fact I have one small at home. Obviously she denied saying weird stuff calling me blind pretty much, then she got angry and grabbed one of our coffees and run back to prepare the new one. In fact I still didnt see her taking any coffee from decaf part so on the end my mom decided to pass it as it was not worth the risk. I can't believe how someone could serve us caffeinated coffee where we clearly asked for decaf. The stuff at Carmen is either not properly trained and/or unaware that they may cause serious health harm to another human. I would also question customer service of that lady who served us coffee today. If you are one of those people who loves coffee but can't have caffeine, avoid this place or just...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I had lunch at the restaurant this past weekend; it was my first time visiting. Before we arrived, I asked him about the place—whether the food was good, if it was pricey, and whether it was a fancy restaurant. Since I'm not a fan of "fancy restaurants," he told me to "just relax and you'll see."
As soon as we sat down, the first thing I noticed was the panoramic view of the city. It was stunning and really relaxing to look at while enjoying our meal. About the food—I'm not exaggerating when I say it did not disappoint! Everything we ordered, from appetizers to the main course and dessert, was incredibly delicious and freshly prepared. I would rate it a solid 9.5 out of 10. Surprisingly, the prices were very affordable; it wasn't fancy at all.
The service was excellent as well; the staff were friendly and helpful. A big shoutout to the crew and staff! 👌🏻🤘🏻👏🏻
Overall, my experience was wonderful.
P.S. It’s wise to make a reservation, especially on weekends when the restaurant tends to be crowded. Also, I recommend avoiding arrival close to closing time and then complaining about slow service—it's just...
