I don’t understand why this place has such a good note. The name “La Rue” would suggest that it’s inspired from the French cuisine, but I haven’t found anything French there... apart from names. I was happy to find on their menu crepes with compote. Compote! I miss it so much in Spain. However, what they name “compote” was a normal marmalade, which I hate. Or someone there didn’t understand what compote really is, or they just lie. The food there is stuffed with sugar. Seriously, eating sugar with a spoon would be just the same as eating their crepe. Even cider was just too sweet! With added sugar. Disgusting. Don’t go there. I’m putting two stars because the staff was really friendly. They spoke with us and tried to make our experience pleasant....

Whenever I feel lonely, chocolate helps me feel better. (Can anyone relate?) I have a lot of beautiful memories involving crepes (e.g. October Fest parties ending with a delicious chocolate crepe before falling to bed happily) After strolling around the city of Madrid on Saturday, I treated myself to a Ferrero Crepe (6.90€) and a Rooibos Tea (2.50€) at this cute creperia just off Calle Fuerncarral in Madrid that I’ve walked past so many times. I got a beautiful table just before the rain started pouring down. I enjoyed this sweet good night treat while watching people walk by on the street and now Im sitting on my Couch feeling satisfied. Vegan or gluten free options would be a reason for me to come back....

This place USED to be good. The waiters were nice and the vibe was chill. It sucks because a new waiter came in and now the vibe is horrendous. He mocks my Mexican accented Spanish to the other waiter. He would imitate Mexican slang to the other coworker in earshot. And he berated that same waiter while we were paying! First time I thought it was funny but second time I realized it was genuinely mean spirited. I give 2 stars because the food is good, just the vibe is off due to the work staff...

I had dinner with a friend close by and we were both craving something sweet when we passed by, what a great find! We had some sweet crepes and smoothies and they were great! There's plenty of sweet and salty options to choose from and I'll definitely need to be back to try more. Service was slow but the place is very small and we were warned that one of the machines was broken and it was going to take longer than usual. Great place, lovely atmosphere, absolutely recommended

We came for breakfast. I didn’t like their crepes, but loved everything else. I had an underwhelming crepe (egg, too much cheese and poor quality ham) and an impressively sized scrambled dish (much bigger than expected). We also ordered an amazing carrot cake (yum!). The coffee was really delicious (americano) so we ordered a second to go with our cake. I would return, but would t order the ‘completo’ crepe.
