⚠️ Negative experience — a warning for solo travelers or business visitors. I went two nights in a row because the place seemed nice and was close to my hotel.
The first night, the same waiter (blond, light eyes, around 40 years old) did not want to let me sit outside, even though all tables were empty. Only after I said I would go somewhere else, he finally agreed.
I ordered the "Rincón de Jaén" salad with marinated fish and three medium beers. All good, I paid €31 in total (€14 for the salad + 3 beers).
The second night — same scene: empty tables, again he made it difficult to let me sit outside, but finally he allowed it. Then he insisted I order some "super fresh gambas" off-menu. I wanted to order the same salad, but to avoid conflict, I accepted.
The result: 6 unpeeled gambas, no garnish, no bread, no salad — just an empty plate, and one beer.
When I asked for the bill: €41 for 6 gambas and one beer. Regular menu prices are between €10 and €20 — I was never told this dish was €35.
This is a dishonest and unprofessional practice. They take advantage of tourists or solo diners to inflate the bill. The female staff was kind, but this waiter damages the reputation of the place.
I will not return and will advise my colleagues (who come to Madrid often) to avoid it. I’m posting the receipt so people can judge...
Read moreWe went for dinner to this amazing restaurant, the best fish you can find in Madrid centro, it was super fresh and good quantity, you can ask dishes to share because they give good portions for groups, the food very well prepared, we made a reservation but if you go on Sunday there’s no need because there were empty tables, the attention was very fast and very attentive, I recommend a lot this place, plus there are many other restaurants from the same...
Read moreFood is good but too little, you end up hungry. They charge you for the bread that they put as a welcome. The waiter pushes for you to order more food. The pulpo a la Gallega was really small. More potatoes than Octupus. Not worth 22 Euros. The navajas are not worth it either. The best is the chipirones and the Rodaballo...
