Heard about the place from a friend that the food is great but the service could be improved and decided to give it a go.

It's a place to eat rice. The dishes are plentiful and delicious. Therefore 3 stars. While very satisfied with the food, we were left with a bad taste in our mouths by the treatment we received.

Upon arrival we were told that the reservations are accepted for lunch only while there were plenty of empty tables or people only having drinks. At 15:01 we were asked to abandon the table, again, while there were several empty tables In the terrace and no people waiting to be seated. On top of that, there were two empty tables inside.

I understand that any business wants to maximize profit, but one expects some common courtesy - if no-one is waiting for a table to be available, why kick others out?

Verdict: great place to eat and go. If you want to enjoy your afternoon, you may want to consider other options...

We had a wonderful evening yesterday at Taberna del Olivo. I went there with my son and we truly enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere. The restaurant is cozy and welcoming, with a charming and authentic touch.

The service was outstanding , very attentive, friendly, and with a delightful sense of humor. Even though my Spanish is far from perfect, the waiter responded kindly and even helped out with his German skills, which made us feel very comfortable.

The food was excellent. Everything was fresh and full of flavor, and my gluten-free needs were perfectly taken care of without any difficulty. We also enjoyed the fact that the place is popular with locals, which gave the evening an even more authentic feel.

We will definitely come back, ⭐️ highly...

A good place for tourists! My friends and I had a really good time at the restaurant, it was our first time visiting and the food was absolutely amazing! We had the Seafood Paella (SUPER GOOD), Calamari and an Octupus dish(SUPER SOFT) recommended by the staff and it was one of the best (not over exaggerating) in the city.

All their staff was accommodating because we can’t speak Spanish, but Mario was an absolute gem! He made sure we had a good time and took care of us all throughout(he even made sure we to serve the paella correctly so we don’t get a burnt paella at the bottom of the pan). Will definitely recommend this place to my friends and family and will always visit when I am in Madrid!👌🏻

It’s one of the best paella I had in Madrid, or probably in Spain. I ordered the seafood paella for 3 of us together with grilled octopus and fried chicken wings. Since the paella required a minimum portion of 2 person, I was unable to try other paella like black ink paella 😭. The paella was a traditional version with al dente rice and very rich taste of mixed seafood. Apart from it, the fried chicken wings were nice too. Kudos to Joshua (5 stars) who served our table. He was very friendly and helpful. He gave us a very enjoyable dinner. Thank you.
