La Casa del Pulpo - Bar Los Gallegos — Restaurant in Madrid

Last night me, my son and my spanish partner decided to sit inside althought the tables are very close to each other and near the baño. We were attended by an old camarero. We ordered pulpo, orejas, langostino and padron. Then a group of people sitted beside our table. The oreja was first served by the younger camarero. Then suddenly this old waiter took again their oreja even though they were already starting to eat it. Then suddenly he pretended it was new oreja by putting on top a quarter of very dry lemon and was also cold, and served to us. I was irritated because i know it is the same oreja. I approached the young waiter i said it was the same oreja that he served on his table. He can not looked at me. My partner was telling me not to make a scene. This old waiter was maleducado by taking this food and serving the same also i saw the oreja served a To the other table was hot and new. It was very disappointing to come...

Hello I am making this review for anyone like me who travelled to Madrid and didn't know where they could eat a good dinner on a budget. This restaurant, though sketchy from the outside, is pretty good. It is difficult to point out because not only does it look permanently locked up from the outside, but there is no sign that says La casa del Pulpo... Instead it says "La Bolivariana" or something like that. When u go inside, it'll look kinda tacky but if u can look past an inattentive waiter and a tacky hall setting then u will be fine :) The food is great!! I got the mixed picante plate which had tongue, chicken, potatos and salad and it was SO GOOD! And a HUUUGE portion for 10€. The food came after a good 15 minutes and it was worth the wait. Inexpensive, fresh, delicious food. Good value and if u need to take some home, they have containers!! :D...

La verdad es que viendo la competencia que tienen en Usera supongo que estará entre los tres mejores del distrito, conozco casi todos los que tienen buena fama y la verdad la mediocridad triunfa en todos ellos. Este es correcto si no tienes que desplazarte, o sea, si no tienes que andar más de diez minutos, porque la verdad cualquier otro esfuerzo no es justificable. Hemos pedido la afamada ración de pulpo a la gallega, bien de cantidad pero los trozos pequeños, evidentemente algún tropo pequeño te debe de tocar, pero todos no, pero lo más desagradable ha sido que los de una mitad estaban saladísimos y los de la otra mitad sosos y eso es por no prestar atención al hacerlo, además les indicaría que utilizaran un aceite y un pimentón de mejor calidad, hay multitud de marcas premium, la que quieran, pero si quieren destacar no pueden usar los más baratos del mercado. En cuanto a las almejas en salsa, te la sirven en una cacerola de barro con una exagerada cantidad de caldo demasiado líquido y con un sabor nada sabroso. El precio correcto, aunque eso de que pidas la cuenta y te venga el camarero y te la diga de palabra no es correcto, te debe traer la cuenta, por cierto el mismo camarero al que hay que pedirle que te traiga una copa para el tercio de cerveza o unos platitos para las almejas, evidentemente no vamos a dejar las conchas encima de la mesa hombre, pero que haya...
