La Mordida in Tetuán is pure fun — and the food backs it up. The place has a great vibe: colorful, lively, and full of little details that make it feel like a quick trip to Mexico without leaving Madrid. The atmosphere is playful, but the food is seriously good. Everything we tried was packed with flavor — fresh, well-seasoned, and clearly made with care. It’s the kind of spot where you end up staying longer than planned, just enjoying the energy. If you’re in the area and in the mood for something tasty with personality, this place hits the spot. La Mordida in Tetuán is loud, colorful, and slightly over the top — in the best possible way. Walking in feels like stepping onto a movie set where someone said “make it muy mexicano and don’t hold back.” And honestly? It works. The food is seriously tasty — no gimmicks, just real flavor. You come for the alambre, stay for the decor, and end up wondering if you’ve had one too many margaritas or if the chairs really are that bright. If you’re into fun, flavor, and a place that doesn’t take itself too seriously (but does take the food seriously), this one’s a win.

We went for dinner on Sunday night. Michelada was ok, I tried better but this one was fine. At first I ordered Pozole, I love this soup and I tried it multiple times. However what they served was just colored water with some meat. It was totally tasteless, the waiter tried to convicted me that how it supposed to taste.... so I returned the plate (no charge of course) and I ordered tacos Al pastor (pork+ toppings: pineapple, onion, cilantro+ tortillas). Cornflower tortillas were really good. The pork was really dry, "fresh" cilantro was completely tasteless as well as the rest of the toppings. My partner ordered beef fajitas, it was so so. We were in la mordida just once before that was a bit better. However, we are not gonna come back after this experience. I think Madrid offers much better restaurants in this price range. In a summary the best were michelada and corn tortillas.

We stumbled across this restaurant by accident, we celebrated St. Patrick's Day around the corner at a bar. Excellent service with exceptional food. The staff member who served me and my friends was so professional and friendly, he made us feel at home. He spoke Spanish and English to us, my friend is fluent Spanish. Both of my friends had allergies/food intolerances. The staff member listened to us and made good suggestions.I would of gone back for seconds, the meal was that good. I would definitely recommend this place.
