Lateral Fleming — Restaurant in Madrid

Beautiful boutique little restaurant with extremely subpar food. Probably the worst steak I've eaten since I've been in Spain- tough, over cooked- sent back- overcooked again. The service was super disappointing, not one smile and we had to flag someone down to take our drink order and our food order separately. Asked for water two seperate times- it never came. It is a very small restaurant so it's not easy to miss a table that hasn't ordered yet/been served yet. Wine was served borderline, hot not room temperature, but legit hot. We had such a wonderful time at Fleming, with lovely service by Cecelia, that we came back the following night.

The outdoor patio was PERFECT for our two families with two kids each. We loved the menu - tapas are creative and flavorful. Ate here 2 nights, first night we had a white sangria, apparently the red sangria is not so common for Madrid. It's more a drink for the cities at the Mediterranean Sea. I liked it though.
