The restaurant is an hidden gem in the area of Santiago Bernabeu. Very typical and super authentic spanish restaurant. When crossing the entrance door it feels like you are entering a parallel world. In fact, while the exterior of the restaurant is very low profile and almost seems to suggest "do not enter here" the interior is fantastic. It seems to be into a spanish mountain hut with a lot of wooden finishing and very traditional decoration. The place is not luxurious but very authentic. The food is extremely good and authentic as well. The jamon iberico is super and you may also want to try the desserts. The service is very elegant with all waiters in uniform and very manned when they take your orders and serve the food. If you are a football fan this is a real plus if you are visiting this place because you can also review the whole history of the Spain national football team hanging on the walls of the restaurant and you can see pictures of famous football players who also had dinner there and signed shirts of all the spanish national football team glories. Maybe you can also spot some of the current glories in a table nearby you. Prices are not cheap but definitively approapriate to the good level of...

I was nice polite and answered with please and thank you. They were rude in a rush and basically "threw" the plates on the table. Term that comes to mind droids...
I can go into the details of the food but to sum it up, it was lacking character. The only good thing I can say about the food was the freshness of the fish. That is it!!! I paid 130 euros for 1 person for a mediocre meal one glass of wine and one gin tonic.
The only smiles you'll see are the ones in the photos with all the celebrities. The best service is when you ask for the bill. And the only professionals are the three suited guys that basically run the place but have minimal contact with the guests.
How do you rate such an establishment, so prestigious and rich with history and culture... when I visited the website I saw a quote written by Mr. Pedro Abrego, it was truly moving, all about perseverance and determination. I'm sorry to say the team are not implementing the standards and determination placed by him that gave this establishment its name.

Read moreThieves ! Stay away from this restaurant. I asked for a good bottle of wine with the tasting menu and the waiter proposed me a 49€ option, telling me I just would have to pay the difference at the end. When comes the bill, surprise, I was charged for the full price plus the wine included in the menu (24€) that we did not take ! The waiter had the nerve to tell me the price for the bottle he sold me was 60 something euros and I had to grab my phone and show him his own prices ! Only then he would take back the bill to redo it after negotiating. When he comes back, surprise again : he had split the difference between him and me, saying it is only 12€ euros and the menu was making discounts and all. My wife and I were astonished that the waiter was negotiating. If you are Spanish and able to talk with the staff, fine you may go out with the good price, but as a visitor in Spain, I could not as the waiter wanted only to speak in Spanish and was not doing any effort. Just thieves. Nothing more. Besides that quantity is here but the price is a bit high for that quality of dishes in a...
