Oh! Mandril — Restaurant in Madrid

Hmm there is really nothing nice about this place. What didn’t help was that whilst I was quietly sitting in the farthest of tables, I was still moved by a group of noisy patrons whom hardly ordered anything at all. How does any professional waiter allow this? Idk. It was so rude. Then the waiters tried to nickel and dime me into larger bottles of water. Please give me a break. Anyway, people with small minds do small things.

There are hundreds of better places to go- even on the same block. Do not waste you time here. It’s boring and sad.

Excellent option to have a beer and relax. I ate some tapas too and were all fresh and delicious. They have a great variety of beers and the staff will help you with recommendations. The best thing about this place is its service. My waiter Cristian was extremely friendly and attentive and my whole experience here was way better because of him. Dudábamos sobre donde acudir a comer en este sábado pre Nochebuena en el siempre bullicioso barrio de Chamberí y nos decidimos por ir a Oh! Mandril, sin muchas esperanzas porque siempre suele estar lleno de gente.

Para nuestra sorpresa y la de los camareros había sitio de sobra, lo que muy probablemente se debía a los movimientos de la gente en estas fechas navideñas.

Para empezar me tomé el que probablemente haya sido el mejor vermut de mi vida, servido desde una botella que llevaba el nombre del establecimiento. Se me olvidó preguntarles si lo elaboran ellos o se lo hacen especialmente para este restaurante / gastrobar.

Luego tomamos una tapa de ensaladilla rusa y un pisto con huevo riquísimos ambos. Como plato principal, unos tacos de solomillo al Pedro Ximénez con patatas fritas.

En el postre fueron de nuevo muy amables, pues sólo quería tomar un poco de helado, que no venía en la carta como postre individual y aún así me lo sirvieron.

En resumen, un lugar muy agradable donde todo está siempre buenísimo y cuya única pega es que suele estar tan concurrido que es difícil...
