Bodega de la Ardosa — Local services in Madrid

This appears to be the famous bodega off the streets of Malasaña. They don’t serve whole/pincho of tortillas here. Instead they gift them as tapas when ordering drinks. We ordered torreznos, gilda, and croquetas de jamón. The torreznos are a bit tough and slightly burnt, but still quite tasty. The croquetas are pretty good though.

One of my fav things is the atmosphere and the service. It’s become a local bar that old friends come to hang out. Here it’s not as crowded as the one in Malasaña, which is amazing. People can actually come here and chill and chat and hear each other talk. Many locals in Chamberí come here for a quick tapa and drink and off they go to their day. Service is also great. The food was good. Definitely try out the Spanish omelette and grilled artichoke if it’s on the menu. The Sangria was refreshing. Atmosphere was quite bustling and it’s quite hard to find a place to sit due to the demand rightfully so. The ambience is good but service could’ve been better. Para mí, si de verdad quieres llevarte un recuerdo auténtico y positivo de Madrid, tienes que pasarte por la Taberna La Ardosa. Su ubicación es inmejorable, cerca de Almagro, y la verdad es que es muy sencillo llegar, no te pierdes. Lo que más me gusta es que en su carta encuentras una variedad de platos de la India que son una auténtica delicia. Creo que el gran acierto del lugar reside precisamente en esa apuesta por una cocina india llena de sabor y bien ejecutada.

Otro punto que para mí es fundamental y que siempre destaco es el tema de los precios. No son para nada elevados, se mantienen en una media muy razonable y la relación calidad-precio me parece excelente. Además, es un detalle importante que acepten tickets restaurante, lo cual facilita mucho las cosas.

Siempre recomiendo reservar mesa con antelación porque suele estar muy concurrido y así evitas llevarte una sorpresa desagradable al llegar. El ambiente que tiene te hace sentir cómodo inmediatamente; la decoración, la comida y las instalaciones en general crean un entorno tan agradable que, en mi opinión, es ideal incluso para ir con niños.
