Last Friday we went to OTORO and were surprised by the quality of the food and the incredible preparation. We decided for the degustation menu and enjoyed every single bit of its flavour explosions. It really is worth the price. The restaurant is intimate with capacity for no more than 15 people which can be great for this kind of meal or awful if you’re as unlucky as we were. The table next to us had 4 people who laughed and talked at a volume that the entire restaurant could listen. The staff tried to calm them a couple of times without any luck. In the end, it’s not the restaurants’ fault but I can’t say it didn’t damage our experience. As a title of curiosity, I think this restaurant has the lightest wine glasses I’ve ever used! And, summing our experience: great food, great ingredients and...

We were walking on Saturday and had been seeing this place for a year but never had the chance to try it. They were super friendly and even let our dog in with his cart! We really appreciate it. The staff spoke excellent English and were incredibly welcoming.

And of course, the food was absolutely delicious—no words for that! The only thing I might suggest is that after finishing our courses, we were craving something more. They recommended their favorite dish (which was amazingly delicious), but it was quite pricey. We expected that since it had truffle, but it would have been nice to know the price in advance.

All in all, everything was great, and the atmosphere was very friendly. Totally...

Excellent Omakase experience in Madrid! We have been in Spain in July and we absolutely wanted to have Omakase experience. We have tried to book in Barcelona, but were not lucky enough to dine at Omakase's restaurants. However, Madrid was more sympathetic to us and we've got a reservation at Otoro! It was mind blowing experience! We had Chef's selection dinner and it was amazing! The winners were wagyu with black caviar, Gamba roja and eel. The presentation was great and service impeccable! I was impressed by freshness and overall good quality of food. Yuzu ice cream was yummy! I will return to this restaurant again on my next...

The positives: fresh high-quality ingredients (excellent sea urchin, fresh oysters and scallops for example) and attentive and accommodating service. Also a good fusion concept like their own interpretation of wasabi as a condiment. The improvement points: the nori (seaweed) is not crunchy but very chewy, the rice is not sticky Japanese and is coated with too much sauce. The “aburi” style is not about the burning but about the searing with coal. In this place the fish is just torched, thus lacking true aburi style flavour.
