My friend and I were really looking forward to having a good pizza. So we went to a place my friend really liked. Unfortunately, it was closed that evening, so we ended up going to Oven Mozzarella Fuencarral and decided to order two pizzas to go. What a disappointment we were in for!
Given the much higher-than-average price and the website showcasing beautiful pizzas, we had every reason to expect quality service. The service was very fast. In just 8 minutes flat, both pizzas were ready, even though the restaurant was full and there was a small queue. One could wonder if the pizza had traveled back in time to reach us faster. As you’ve probably guessed, it was most likely already made and just reheated. But we didn’t question it too much at the time.
Three minutes later, we were surprised to discover an extremely unusual pizza. The Burrata y jamón ibérico pizza was a new concept: a crust, a few slices of ham, and a cheesy soup so runny it spilled everywhere. Nothing like what was shown on the website. Even shaking the box gently — barely enough to wake a baby — the cheesy soup spread like a lake overflowing a dam. A true gastronomic spectacle! It looked like something out of Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares.
So, we went back to the pizzeria with this botched dish to ask for a replacement. The waiter, who was very friendly, agreed it was not normal and said he would ask for the pizza to be remade.
We waited patiently as our second pizza got colder and colder. Then we witnessed an unbelievable scene: two waiters trying to convince the chef for five whole minutes to redo the pizza.
Sadly, the bad news came shortly after. The chef refused to remake the proper pizza as advertised on the website. The “solution” offered was to redo the pizza — but with the same problematic flaw of the evening: a cheese soup pizza. Of course, this was just a way to hand us back the failed one or give us another reheated version. Deeply disappointed, we asked for a refund.
Dear consumer, I want to tell you with complete honesty that this felt like a scam: showing a beautiful pizza on their website and serving us uneatable food is unfair.
Let’s fight together so that more respectful and qualified business owners can provide better service to those of us who simply want to eat what we were promised.I highly recommend the pizzeria 100 meters away!
I hope this message gives many of you a laugh — but please, for your own health and happiness, avoid a place like...
Read moreAn absolute average pseudo Italian food restaurant (nothing different from La Tagliatella, e.g.) with pseudo posh decor. Slow service and inattentive, nothing out-of-this- world pizza, and one for which they charged me 11.50€ instead of the 10€ stated in the menu - I have just seen in the picture of the bill I took they put "espelta" (spelt) when in no time I told them I preferred that instead of regular wheat dough. Anyway, even if I had asked for the alteration, in no case was it said that if you'd changed the dough you'd be asked more money for that. I just thought it was wrong after leaving the place, but now I saw I was truly right, I'll never come back to the place.
Read moreI really wanted to love this place since it came highly recommended by a close friend, but the experience was truly disappointing. We had made reservations and arrived on time, yet the customer service was absolutely unacceptable. Our drinks and appetizers took over 40 minutes to arrive while multiple tables that came in after us were served promptly. At first, we tried to be understanding, assuming maybe our order took longer, but when two more groups who arrived later received their drinks, appetizers, and even their meals before us, it became impossible to ignore. The treatment we received felt dismissive and, quite frankly, discriminatory. No one should feel that way while dining out. To make matters worse, when the food finally arrived, it was mediocre at best. I rarely ever write reviews, but this level of disregard and unprofessionalism was beyond frustrating. Cindy was our hostess, and I truly hope management takes accountability because this kind of service is completely...
