PANEM — Restaurant in Madrid

My boyfriend bought me those pastries in Madrid in the morning and brought them to me at night after a 6 hours flight, and even after this long day, these are still THE BEST PASTRIES I HAVE EVER HAD! There was a cinnamon roll also that I didn't take a picture of because we couldn't wait, the lemon cruffin was incredible, the pistachio croissant was soon good and the cookie we kept for the morning after and it was still crunchy and delicious as if it was baked just now. The staff was lovely as well according to my boyfriend's story, he came back 3 times in just one hour to get more pastries for his family and they were nice and helpful each time. And also no line at all but maybe this was just luck. Can't wait...

Anything you can get here is fabulous, although they have a limited set of items they sell. We tried their baguettes, regular croissants, croissants filled with almond cream, croissants covered with chocolate and filled with chocolate mousse, and palmiers. The croissants in particular were outstanding. I've been to Paris and had croissants at several bakeries there; these ones were better, and much better than other I tried at other bakeries in Madrid. Do get there early because one day we went to pick something later in the day and they were pretty much sold out of everything. Menuda vergüenza como tratan aquí al cliente cuando se equivocan! Habiendo sido cliente desde hace años y habiendo comprado uno de sus famosos roscones para Nochebuena, ayer día 4 de Enero y habiendo esperado más de 40 min de cola, compre otro roscón el cual tenía la nata con poca consistencia y no con la alta calidad por la que destacan sus roscones. Me dirijo al establecimiento hoy día 5 a primera hora para que me lo cambiasen por otro y la responsable (Marta) con un despotismo y maneras muy desagradables nos ha hecho bajar al obrador a hablar con otro de los dueños (Antonio), los cuales de manera altiva, déspota y muy indignados nos han dicho que esa nata estaba perfectamente y que era imposible que estuviera mal…que ni lo cambiaban ni devolvían el dinero. He tenido que volver a la tienda poner una hoja de reclamaciones aguantando los comentarios déspotas y fuera de lugar de esta chica (MARTA). Seguidamente me dispuse a devolverle el producto en el obrador ya que no estaba en buenas condiciones sin recibir ni mi dinero de vuelta ni otro roscón en condiciones óptimas. Me parece vergonzoso como tratáis a un cliente regular cuando claramente os habéis equivocado, no cuesta nada empatizar con el cliente y reconocer los errores incluso cuando eres el “GRAN Antonio” de PANEM…pero no, ellos no se equivocan nunca. Aquí se ve realmente que clase de empresario es este señor. Última vez que compro en este establecimiento y por supuesto voy a disputar el cargo con mi entidad bancaria además de presentar la correspondiente hoja de reclamaciones en consumo. ¡Hay que ser un poquito más humilde y no...
