Restaurante Gabri — Restaurant in Madrid

Prices are very high. One has to be careful, because they charge whatever they feel like because of the weight of the grilled meet. They are Bulgarians and the so called Romanian food is awful. "Ciorba de burta" aka tripe soup was tasteless, small portion and costs 8 euros. A pint of beer is 4,50 Euro. They are gangsters who will scam you if you dont speak Spanish or Bulgarian. I asked for one portion of " mititei" but brought 2 portions, and had to pay for both of course. Before we ordered staff put some sort of old cold chicken legs (2) tapa on table. I thought how nice, but then it was added to the bill. I wondered why on a Saturday late afternoon was no other guest....

Bulgarian and Romanian food. Mediterranean style, with fresh vegetables and excellent meat. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, and the cooking techniques. We strongly recommend the Hungarian bread with cheese, any salad (how can a simple salad taste so wonderful) and the "Sach" of vegetables (even if you do not like vegetables); the cookies cake is the perfect dessert for such...

Le doy cuatro estrellas por que me encanta la comida búlgara y es casi imposible encontrar un sitio que la haga, así que le deseo mucha suerte a este local y espero que les vaya muy bien, ojalá puedan prosperar, mejorar y darse a conocer más.

Ahora, respecto al sitio como tal, debo decir que probablemente iba con altas expectativas y eso no ayudó pero me decepcionó la cocina, la shopska estaba buena y una buena cantidad, pero a la que ya pusimos un poco mas de elaboración en la cocina se torció el asunto, un kavarma insípido que no tuve la fuerza de voluntad de terminarme por el cual pague poco menos de 10€, le puse muchas ganas en comérmelo pero de verdad no pude, el cerdo estaba medio crudo, apenas llevaba sirene, no tenía sal y apenas llevaría chubritza si es que llevaba, pero el problema ya no era que no supiera a kavarma, con un poco mas de cocción, sal y pimienta habría estado tremendo igualmente aún sin chubritza ni sirene.

La atención de 10, muy amable, espero que mi crítica sirva constructivamente y animo a cualquiera que la lea a pasarse por el restaurante y probar la comida búlgara, probablemente mi problema fue un caso aislado y en cualquier caso seguro que lo tienen en cuenta y no vuelve...
